We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Executive Assistant.

The purpose of this role is to provide executive assistant and administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) HSBC UK 

As the role supports the most senior role in HSBC UK, the role holder requires a sufficient level of expertise, professionalism and discretion. The role holder will be required to get involved in a large spectrum of work and/or issues dealt with by the CEO and will need to actively participate in meetings, oversee small projects and have decision making with authority and autonomy.

Responsibilities will include:                                                                                     

•    Undertake all required administrative processes for the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) HSBC UK e.g. Diary/time management, travel, workflow, HR process/admin, HR desktop changes, holiday co-ordination, Fusion, GER (Gifts and Entertainment register). 
•    Providing in person Secretarial Assistance to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) HSBC UK including ensuring any required meeting briefings are provided in good time and made available to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) HSBC UK using their preferred systems and managing projects on their behalf.  High availability required with instant and effective support, in the office when required. 
•    Assist in preparing high quality materials on behalf of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) HSBC UK (e.g. power point presentations, meeting agendas, colleague communications etc.  ). 
•    Managing high level internal and external engagements, including coordinating working groups with governments, regulators and senior executives. 

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: 

•    Experience working in relevant role/ environment/s, i.e. a successful record of accomplishment working for senior executives and a proven business administration experience. 
•    Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Teams, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel.  Proficiency at hosting Zoom meetings is preferrable. 
•    Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal with attention to detail. 
•    Ability to work under pressure, dealing with competing commitments and prioritising accordingly. 
•    Ability to work well in a team and flex your working style as required. 

The base location for this role is 1CS, Birmingham on a hybrid basis. Please note there may be occasional requirements to adjust working hours to fit in with different time zones.
