Your career opportunity
The GCIO Chief Control Office (CCO) team plays an important role in enabling the bank to operate within its risk appetite by ensuring efficient and effective risk and control management. We do this by providing operational risk and control expertise, specialist technical knowledge and a deep understanding of the businesses and functions we serve. 

Key activities include implementation and oversight of the Group’s Risk Management Framework, ongoing and targeted controls assessments, implementing and maintaining robust risk governance, and championing a proactive risk culture. GCIO CCO works closely with partners across all lines of defense and is responsible for maintaining positive relationships with our regulators and external partners. 

GCIO CCO Shared Services Team will work on improvement of existing ways of working, tools and processes for risk and control management 

What you’ll do
    • Work with colleagues in GCIO CCO, 2nd Line of Defence and stakeholders across GCIO to understand their risk and control management processes and identify areas of improvement.
    • Collaborate with GCIO CCO Shared Services Framework team to improve existing procedures and draft new ones leveraging available automation and more data driven risk and control information. 
    • Create workflows outlining existing and new processes and identify opportunities for enhancement using available automation.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to introduce improved processes and co-ordinate transition activities to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
    • Communicate complex problems in simple, understandable format and obtain support from stakeholders to ensure alignment of the proposed changes.  
    • Monitoring of new and enhanced processes, gathering feedback and introducing changes to address the feedback. 

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in product analysis and understanding of project management concepts. 
    • Working knowledge of Incident/Problem/Change Management frameworks such as ITIL or ISO 9000:2000.
    • Experience with analysing high volumes of complex data and present findings in simple and understandable format is required.
    • Ability to work in a complex, change environment and respond to challenges arising from working with big transformation programs is a must. 
    • Experience with Risk and Control Management, Key Control Indicators, Key Risk Indicators and Key Performance indicators and understanding of their role in Risk and Control management.
    • Experience across IT, Operations, Risk Management, and / or Audit roles requiring management of diverse risk types is a plus.
    • Strong communication skills to influence and challenge stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of process mappings and modelling techniques. Six Sigma, Business Process Management (BMP) certificates are beneficial.
