Group AI Management and Strategy (AIMS) team is responsible for developing and implementing Group-wide strategic programs across HSBC aimed at accelerating the commercialisation and delivery of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) across HSBC. Key areas of focus include responsible development practices, common platforms and capabilities, AI technology enablement, AI governance, and the Group-wide AI Strategy.

Driving change and financial impact through AI is challenging, requiring accessible, well-governed data, AI tooling and compute, along with robust project management. Continuous monitoring is needed to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance. The jobholder needs to demonstrate an expertise in concepts related to Agile project management practices.

The role is located in Krakow and has global reach. The jobholder is required to work in an environment of significant ambiguity with autonomy, dealing with major issues for which there is no clear solution whilst still being able to provide judgment and clear direction. The jobholder is expected to demonstrate a high level of project management expertise.

The role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of backlog prioritisation, RAID Log management, status reporting and facilitation of governance/delivery forums for a key AI initiative. This role will interact and engage with senior stakeholders within and outside of the initiative and is expected to form deep relationships with Business, Finance, Data Science and Technology leaders across the Group to unlock value across the AI initiative.

What you’ll do
    • Manage the decomposition of the Initiative/Sub Value Stream (SVS) backlog into the SVS Kanbans 
    • Facilitate the prioritisation of capabilities within the Initiative/SVS
    • Ensure successful management of dependencies, risks and issues, including identification and removal of SVS delivery impediments, management of cross-SVS dependencies, escalation of issues
    • Manage the successful run of governance forums, including facilitation when appropriate. Governance forums can include SVS Reviews, Scrum of Scrums, and PI Planning
    • Manage the financial planning for Initiative/SVS
    • Establish effective controls, procedures and quality assurance processes to promote consistency of outputs across all deliverables in line with HSBC’s Change Framework and Risk and Controls framework
    • Manage and mentor delivery and scrum team members, including resolving escalations, setting and managing performance goals, coaching individual career growth paths and balancing workloads
    • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making and ensure HSBC remains at the forefront of AI innovation.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • Strong experience in Transformation, Data & Analytics or Management Consulting with a focus on driving large scale transformation of businesses through analytics and AI/ML.
    • Experience developing and launching solutions within large financial services institutions.
    • Exceptionally strong financial management, relationship management, and strategic skill sets.
    • Self-starter and the ability to perform most activities with moderate to low direction.
    • Adapts to a rapidly changing risk and technical environment and comfort working with ambiguity.
    • Familiarity with change management tools, mainly Clarity, Jira, and  Confluence. 

What we offer
The pay range for this role is 21141 PLN - 31708 PLN (monthly, gross).

Additional car allowance in the amount of 4,620 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.

The pay range for this role is 15,025 - 23,000 PLN (monthly, gross).
