PFM Manager (Israel & France) main role is to manage Bank’s intraday liquidity, nostro and support cash management. PFM Israel (GMO Cash Management) is a corporate process of collecting and managing cash, as well as using it for short-term investing. GMO is responsible for a list of daily action items, intended to keep all the Bank’s balances up to date, and minimizing operational and settlement risk. PFM France Manager will support the intra-day liquidity management for HSBC Continental Europe (France), mainly for Target2.
What you’ll do
- Previous Day’s Closing Balances Reconciliation and Reporting, comparing to nostro accounts statements and escalation of discrepancies. Ensuring that balances in all currencies are within limits/targets.
- Handling Same Day Transactions to ensure that all data related to daily payments from all sources flows fully into RTCM, and that payments are handled properly, to match Nostro accounts cash flow.
- Preparation for Bank of Israel Auction - to check cash position before auction cut-off time to ensure correct balances are considered for the auction, and that all trading activity, money transfers and intra-day loans are fully updated in RTCM, RTGS, CMS-Lite, HUB and TREATS.
- Performing Post Auction Activities to check that the auction is reflected in RTCM balance and investigation of discrepancies.
- Managing PFM process for HSBC Continental Europe – Paris office, including liquidity management in Target2, handling Timed Hold payments and monitoring CLS settlement payments.
- Reassessment of operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Detailed knowledge of the Group payments infrastructure, SWIFT messages, and FX standards. Understanding of Currency Clearing schemes and Payment Industry architecture.
- Knowledge of the Bank’s operational and internal controls, products, and procedures.
- Understanding of Group’s payments and communication’s infrastructure. Attention to details and ability to work independently.
- Payment investigations and processing knowledge.
- Drive/passion in delivering high quality performance with proactive and flexible approach.
- PC literate with ability to collate and analyse Management Information.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills with a view to commit to decisions.
- Fluent French language will be an additional asset
