Today CMB digital IT is engaged in several significant programs to transform the technology platforms that support these digital capabilities further enhancing the capabilities and customer experience.
This is most critical direct channel catering to thousands of corporate customers of HSBC and on advanced technology, where candidate get to explore and implement the latest technology.
The role is within the HSBC CIB digital programme, for Host-to-host gateways. Ensure all the customer on-boarding requests are met and technical support is provided to external customer queries too. This role supports HSBC’s Neo Host-to-Host (H2H) File Gateways as the ITSO delegate, owning key technology risk and control responsibilities and ensuring control adherence with timely remediation of issues. You’ll lead TRCB delivery across H2H channels, driving patching and vulnerability management for an estate of ~700 servers by coordinating stakeholders to meet change windows and compliance targets.
Acting as deputy Service Quality Manager, you’ll help run service governance, oversee incident/problem management, and drive continuous improvement. You’ll also contribute to File Gateways resilience initiatives (FSA and Always-On) to improve availability and recoverability, while serving as the permanent team lead for the Poland H2H team, coaching colleagues and delivering outcomes at pace

What you’ll do
    • Ensure adherence to required control standards (e.g., control operation, evidence, attestations) and drive timely remediation of control gaps and audit findings.
    • Lead TRCB delivery across H2H channels, planning and executing change activity in line with governance, approvals, and agreed change windows.
    • Own patching and vulnerability management across an estate of ~700 servers, including prioritization, scheduling, execution tracking, and exception handling.
    • Coordinate delivery across multiple stakeholder groups (engineering, operations, infrastructure, security, change management, vendors) to meet compliance targets and minimize service disruption.Monitor remediation progress, manage risks/issues/dependencies, and provide clear reporting and escalation to ensure deadlines are met.
    • Deputize for the Service Quality Manager for H2H, supporting service governance routines (service reviews, KPI/SLA tracking, service improvement actions).
    • Provide oversight of major incidents, incident/problem management, and root-cause analysis to reduce repeat issues and improve customer experience.
    • Contribute to File Gateways FSA and Always-On resilience initiatives, improving availability, recoverability, and operational readiness (e.g., DR testing support, resilience gap closure).
    • Serve as permanent team lead for the Poland-based H2H team, setting priorities, coaching colleagues, and ensuring delivery at pace.

What you need to have to succeed in this role
    • 10-12 years’ IT experience, including Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions/tools.
    • Strong Unix/Linux administration skills.
    • Oracle database knowledge.
    • MI/reporting experience (e.g., Power BI, Splunk).
    • Experience in IT Service Management (ITSM), including process/reporting design for a service domain.
    • Hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Managed Services.
    • Fundamental knowledge of networking and hosting technologies and big data concepts (storage, pipelines, data usage).
    • Proven leadership and team management/team-building capability.

What we offer
The pay range for this role is 29 000 PLN - 34 000 PLN (monthly, gross).

Additional car allowance in the amount of 4786 PLN (monthly, gross).

Variable pay is discretionary, but influenced by Group performance, business/function performance and individual performance.
