We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Global Retail Wealth Transformation Director with GPB&W Transformation.
Principal Responsibilities
Transformation acts as a business function to shape, deliver and embed better customer outcomes. The Transformation Director assumes the responsibility to lead change complex global initiatives, take strategic decisions, operate at an executive level to manage global stakeholder and sponsor relationships.
The purpose of this role is to successfully execute HSBC's global change agenda for Retail Wealth and achieve the Bank's vision to be the leading Wealth Manager in Asia within the next 5 years. We aim to deliver tailored product solutions and an exceptional experience to our clients, and help them achieve their life goals by growing and preserving their Wealth. Our success in supporting our clients' financial transactions and wealth planning needs across geographic boundaries is integral to HSBC's ambitions.
This is an exciting opportunity to drive the scoping, and delivery-at-pace, of a large-scale complex global strategic change programme. This effort leverages various techniques (i.e. digitization, robotics, workflow tools and process re-engineering, artificial intelligence) to improve customer and colleague experience. As the scale and volume of change required by the business continues to accelerate, the role holder is expected to be the strategic change partner across markets to:
- Lead global change initiatives, taking strategic decisions and managing stakeholder relationships at an executive level.
- Drive the execution of HSBC's global change agenda for Retail Wealth, aiming to be the leading Wealth Manager in Asia within five years.
- Oversee a distributed portfolio, ensuring on-time, on-scope, and on-budget delivery to achieve significant revenue objectives.
- Collaborate with business partners to define strategy, shape approaches, and build stakeholder buy-in.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control standards.
- Establish programme governance, including sponsorship, roadmaps, and tollgates, while proactively overcoming obstacles.
- Lead large-scale cultural change and develop change capabilities across WPB using agile and design-led methodologies.
- Provide visible leadership to align Value Streams with the change portfolio and drive adoption of HSBC standards.
- Coach and mentor staff, embedding agile ways of working and supporting team capabilities uplift.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Deep understanding of wealth management sub-value streams and Capital Market Investment products.
- Proven experience in leading global transformation efforts, including process and technology changes.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to contextualise data into business activities and conclusions.
- Outstanding relationship management, communication, and influencing skills.
- Experience working across multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural environments.
- Master's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- High level of drive and motivation to ensure successful delivery of complex transformational initiatives.
- Ability to leverage resources and build strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve goals.
- Demonstrated ability to create and drive large-scale programmatic change in large organisations.
