We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Head of Corporate Communications, Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB).
This role is focused on delivering strategic global corporate communications, aligned with the commercial priorities of the bank’s Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) business and the wider Communications Businesses and Markets strategy. This includes employee communications and external communications.
Based in London and reporting directly to the Head of Communications, CIB, the role holder will support the CIB CEO and leadership team to effectively communicate the business’s strategy and performance, including leading on strategic campaigns and change communications.

In this role you will:
• Deliver an integrated corporate communications strategy for CIB, overseeing global corporate communications activity and leading on strategic content and campaigns planning for CIB.
• Own the CIB internal communications strategy, channels and campaigns.
• Drive internal and external communications for the CIB CEO CIB, through proactive leadership communications, thought leadership content, flagship HSBC and external events and social media.
• Oversee the development and pipeline of CIB corporate communications activities and initiatives, including strategy, people and change communications.
• Own the social media strategy and runway for the CIB executive team, working closely with communications business partners supporting individual executives.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
• Exceptional business partnering skills, able to advise C-level executives on communications strategies and coach them on delivery.
• Ability to lead in developing, managing and implementing effective integrated communications strategies, including change communications and creative campaigns.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills which enable you to explain things clearly and in ways that different internal audiences will understand.
• Strong team player and network builder across a complex organisation and different geographies.
• A creative mind-set with a genuine interest in communications and storytelling.
