The Head of Finance - Wholesale Europe is a key leadership role focused on business partnering, supporting and driving business performance, maintaining a common global finance operating framework, while also maintaining a strong controllership environment. Its purpose is to provide strategic direction and guidance to senior management within CIB Europe acting as business partner to the Head of Banking Europe & Americas.
The role will be based in London and will report to the CIB CFO Europe & Americas

In this role you will:
• Drive business performance, provide business finance support and guidance to the Europe & Americas Head of Banking, acting as a trusted business partner and be the principal point of contact for all finance related matters.
• Drive insightful strategic planning, business performance analysis, and planning and forecasting, thereby providing executive decision support covering all aspects of finance to the Europe & Americas Banking management team.
• Own the regional strategic planning and forecasting processes for Credit & Lending and other regional products. • Be responsible for Finance input into business strategies, providing an evaluation and challenge based on commercial thinking and in the context of a rapidly changing external environment.
• Manage the UK based Business Finance team and collaborate with the Americas, HBCE and intra-regional Finance teams. Drive the development of digital initiatives and facilitate the implementation of both Finance and CIB transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Global CIB Finance Product partners for cohesive end-to-end oversight across the suite of CIB products (e.g. GPS, GTS, IB, etc).
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
• A strong understanding of the suite of CIB Banking products.
• Proven knowledge of balance sheet and capital management.
• In tune with macroeconomic factors, market dynamics and able to interpret impact on performance and risk/return profile. • A strong understanding of client profitability metrics.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to understand complex data and make high quality, timely decisions.
• An effective business partner capable of operating at senior levels of the organisations.
• A driven, delivery orientated individual with a commercial mindset and ability to coordinate change.
