The role holder will be integrally involved in a broad range of activities, working with Global and Regional stakeholders to proactively advance the Corporate & Institutional Banking business agenda in MENAT.

The successful candidate will support Senior Managers with BAU & non-BAU activities, cyclical work pieces such as regular governance forums, annual reporting and short term initiatives. This job supports client facing teams but is not client facing and does not have any portfolios.  The role incumbent is expected to possess some knowledge of financial budgeting, communication, and people management processes in the context of the CIB business.

Duties & Responsibilities:
•    Assisting with the execution of business initiatives and activities in support of business area aims. May also support ongoing change implementation projects
•    Support in business planning activities which may include financial, technological and resource planning
•    Support senior management decision making by use of management information, performance information, analytics, forums and stakeholder feedback
•    Support in forums and committees to represent view of business area
•    Monitoring performance against annual plans and budgets (including headcount)
•    Partnering on Dashboard creation and tailoring (e.g. Won Deals, RM League Tables, Call Activity)
•    Supporting corridor related programmes, growth targets and collaboration. Working with Trade, and other regional contact on their client plan projections 
•    Running Omnia Forecasts from client plans and partnering with Finance on TM1 AOP
•    Evaluate and analyse management information in support of business objectives
•    Work in close partnership with the CIB Coverage and Product teams, HR and Communications to drive the overall MENAT strategy responding to employee feedback to improve employee engagement
•    Respond to Ad hoc requests in an independent manner, working directly with the CIB leadership team
•    Supporting collaboration efforts across all Lines of Business such as Private Banking, IWPB, GTS and GPS as well as key functional partners
•    Sharing best practices to ensure alignment and enhanced connectivity across the business
•    Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure individual conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets

Requirements

 Experience & Qualifications:
•    A bachelor’s degree is required, to obtain a work permit in the UAE
•    Understanding of the HSBC Group and its strategy, structures, and processes
•    Knowledge of the regional external environment - regulatory, political, competitor and market
•    Knowledge of HOST – functionally, operationally and financially
•    Corporate Banking business experience, with prior Business Management or P&L experience
•    Experience of operating as part of a diverse and geographically dispersed team within a complex matrix environment
•    Proven ability to translate complex and varied data into meaningful senior management insights which can be used to more effectively manage the business
•    Strong Excel and PowerPoint experience
•    Very strong interpersonal and communication skills with capacity to work with and influence senior teams, and the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
•    Exceptional organizational, planning and prioritization skills
•    Practical experience of major business transformation with project management experience
•    Ideally both front and back-office experience within a Global Banking environment
•    Robust appreciation of potential risks relating to credit, deal execution, operations and internal control, with strong understanding of risk management and risk mitigation
•    Understanding of the HSBC Group and its strategy, structures and processes
