MSS Operations Strategy and Change is a dedicated team of 'change experts' that help plan, design, and deliver the implementation of change initiatives for MSS Operations. Combining our change expertise with operations knowledge and network, we work hand in hand with the business and delivery partners globally to lead, manage and deliver the digital transformation goals. We adopt a structured approach and offer a number of value-add services from ideation, initiation, right through execution and closure.

We are currently seeking a high calibre individual to join the team in the role of: MSS Ops Strategy and Change - PM/BA Hybrid

ISO20022 is a market driven mandatory, global payments directive which will migrate all payment messages from existing MT format into the new MX format.  Failure to achieve domestic and global cross border deadlines will result in MSS Operations being unable to send or receive payments and losing our ‘licence to operate’.

This role is responsible for owning the ISO compliance delivery for a workstream and/or region.

In this role you will:

•    Proactively manage MSS Ops stakeholders whilst maintaining governance for MSS ISO at workstream/functional level in line with HSBC Change Framework standards
•    Carry out business analysis to capture requirements including market variations and progressing these through to conclusion and provide analysis that helps identify and quantify any related benefits which can be realised by MSS as a result of the implementation of the enhanced MX format for both outbound payments and inbound messages.
•    Be responsible for defining the overarching plan for each site and interlocking schedules with internal Technology Teams and for agreeing, centrally co-ordinating and owning the activities relating to rerouting payments via the payment engine
•    Work with MSS technology and MSS Operations to ensure a robust testing and migration approach is supported, meaning no impact to MSS transactions (STP rates and/ or increase in manual activity) as a result of the migration in addition to working with the Test Manager and SME’s to co-ordinate the creation of SIT and UAT test cases.
•    Implement the Regional or workstream level governance as per global standards (i.e. implementing working groups, reporting updates, confluence pages etc).
 

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

•    Strong people management, interpersonal skills and expertise in regulatory programmes and working in a post trade environment is essential for the role
•    Solid project management skills with exposure to projects within large organisations whilst being a strong communicator who is excellent at building relationships with peers, stakeholders and delivery teams.
•    Proven experience in Business Analysis and Concepts, Process Related documentation, User Testing and exposure in running projects within a large organisation with expertise in payments in both RTGS and Cross Border Payments with MT and MX ISO20022 format.
•    Strong problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills, an organised individual who can manage multiple workstreams with conflicting priorities and timelines.
•    Presentation skills for delivering overviews, chairing working groups with the team and stakeholders, someone who is proactive and self-starting and able to work autonomously on projects.
