We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Manager Business Resilience Citro and Data.
Principal Responsibilities
- Support the Hong Kong WPB Business Resilience Team in carrying out the overall portfolio of agenda including, inter alia, managing cyber and information technology controls, data management and quality governance, third party management, business continuity and issues management, access management, and emerging requirements under Important Business Services programme, toward achieving business compliance to internal and external policies requirements
- Apply a diagnostic and problem-solving attitude to managing underlying issues; review current and emerging controls positions related to cyber information technology, data, third party and business resilience; challenge and drive enhancements to existing processes where appropriate and define new and/or more efficient controls to enable the Bank’s strategy
- Establish effective and constructive working relationship with Local and Global teams including Data, CITRO, and ORR functions, as well as the country/market network of SMEs and Risk Stewards to manage operation resilience risk and drive implementation of necessary changes and programme delivery pragmatically and effectively
- Uphold the HSBC vision, value, and culture in managing non-financial risks and have a pragmatic understanding on how related controls interact with and impact on Bank’s important business processes and our customers
- Deliver high quality support to the business in the management of data and information security controls, through engagement with relevant risk projects, programmes and controls as outlined in the Cyber and Data Risk policies, mandatory procedures, operating instructions, and related governance
- Embrace change and adopt a positive attitude to a rapidly ever-changing business landscape
- Support in promoting wider awareness and knowledge of WPB staff on day-to-day practice to protect the bank against cyber information technology, data and business operation resilience
- Suitable experience in business or data risk and control management, control implementation in the financial sector, business, and process consulting
- Good understanding of NFR framework; familiar with data governance, Information Technology and Cyber Security risk, information lifecycle management, third party management, and business resilience in Wealth and Personal Banking business. Professional experience in practicing risk and control management is an advantage
- Demonstrated track record of driving business process enhancements, automation, adoption of enterprise technology to streamline workflows
- to assess and quantify project and operational risks, assess mitigation measures and provide practical recommendations on risk mitigation controls when needed
- Good understanding of information management practices including carrying out business, data and process analysis and design
- Confidence to interact with the senior stakeholders within Global and Local Head Office and the regional and local businesses
- Possess the ability and drive to raise standards and make an impact on the business culture
- Ability to operate with clear vision under stress in crisis management situations and operate effectively against uncertain and on unfamiliar ground
- Self-motivated, independent, good communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Strong language, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to successfully multi-task and be adaptable to support other team members, where necessary
- Strong team player, able to work with members of different levels and disciplines
- Ability to develop impactful and effective communications and presentations using PowerPoint
