This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Crime Compliance Manager to join the Line of Business Financial Crime Advisory Team. The successful candidate will have an understanding of Financial Crime regulations and CMB products in relation to Global Payment Services (GPS) or Global Trade Solutions (GTS).

In this role you will

  • Playing a role in helping assess the Financial Crime Compliance risks arising within the CMB business, with particular focus on the GPS, GTS and Lending businesses.  
  • Act as SME for key areas of regulation including but not limited to Payment Services Regulations (PSRs), UK Money Laundering Regulations (MLRs) and Payment Transparency Regulations.
  • Building strong stakeholder relations with CMB 1LoD teams, such as GPS and Risk teams.
  • Developing and maintaining a good understanding of the CMB product areas.
  • Participating in new and in-flight product reviews and ensuring all aspects of financial crime controls are adequately considered as part of the review
  • Assessing applicability of regulatory developments and providing guidance to 1LoD on interpretation and implementation of regulatory change. 
Requirements

 

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements

  • A good understanding of the Financial Crime risks in relation to CMB products.
  • Good knowledge of the UK regulatory environment including but not limited to:
    • PSRs,  
    • Money Laundering Regulations
    • Conduct related regulations such as Consumer Duty and their impact on how financial crime risk is managed
    • Some knowledge and / or experience on one or all of the following, Payments infrastructure Payments products and services, Payments Transparency, Digital Channels such as HSBCnet, Global Trade Solutions
    • An understanding of HSBC’s Non-Financial Risk Management Framework.
    • Ability to manage competing stakeholder priorities at one time.
    • Work effectively as part of a team and contributing to team output and collaboration.
    • Confidence to interact, influence and negotiate with business management.
    • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills, inter-personal skills.
