Department - GDT Data Asset Tech Control

In this role, you will:

• Communicate and assist the development and testing teams to ensure understanding of the business priorities and clarification of requirements.
• Development management – ensuring development and code review is completed against the planned schedule. 
• Participate in various fire drills and ensure required and timely assess impacts, dependencies and risks across the project.
• Participate in the estimations process for funding needs and ensure right structure to deliver expected business outcome.
• Ensure adherence to agile methodology and all required practices are followed by the team.
• Manage, prioritize and drive technical releases and patching releases
• Management of project resources to ensure the team has the correct skills and tools to complete assigned tasks
• Be aware of all components of applications in scope and their behavior and architecture. 
• Build sufficient backup for the team members to ensure business continuity
• Wherever required act as a bridge between the business/BA teams and development team to give sufficient context to the developers.
• To have a clear view of technology strategy for design & delivery of the technical aspects of the product…focusing on not only business delivery but constant focus on remediating tech debt.
• Ensure automated test cases to support the test effort in conjunction with our internal and external support teams
• Ensure suitable test data (be that expected results / test entry data ad static etc
• Ensure execution of test cases and documenting the results, follow up actions etc 
• Good insight of with the Development Engineers, Test manager on the tools usage, execution plan and environment requirements
• Ensure  Test Strategy, Test Plans for Automation (selenium) , preparing POC for different automation tools as per time to market.
• Ensure that all test cases and the execution process meets internal HSBC standards.
• Identify ITSO book of work with PM, work on EIM, PLADA, BIA, OKR including ICE scores
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and quality.
• Ability to mentor and guide team members, manage resources and ensure project milestones are met.
• Build and manage highly effective engineering teams, conduct performance reviews, and make compensation decisions.
• Demonstrating your ability to manage a sizeable team.
• Actively conduct interviews to identify talent and select candidates who align with both technical requirements and company culture

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and work experience of min 12+ years Software, Database, Automation and API testing, SIT & UAT Management and POD lead
• Database developer creating DDL and DML scripts (Oracle)
• Test Management – Building Test strategy, Test planning, Test cases writing (manual & automation) and work on execution with results and status publishing
• Automation - Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, GRID. Solid experience with properties handling CSS, XPath etc
• Expert in API development/testing using SOAP-UI , POSTMAN, Rest Assure
• Performance testing using Jmeter (Database , API
• Hands on experience on TOSCA automation
• Experience in Build Management tools like G3, Selenium and some experience in continuous integration, increased automation to achieve wider DevOps goals
• Should be well versed and have real time experience on GITHUB, Maven, GITHands on experience or understanding on DevOps Jenkins CI/CD
• Good knowledge on – ServiceNOW, Selenium Cucumber framework & Data base.
• Aware of change process raising CRs, CAB reviews etc
• Good to have BA related skills like requirement gathering, stakeholder communication and gap analysis.
• Good understanding of project methodology, frameworks and best practic
• Knowledge of the Agile development methodology and experience of working using these technique
• Working knowledge of test tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong organizational, time management and planning skills to facilitate with multiple and significant responsibilities
• Problem solving approach
