The Opportunity:

  • Digital Business Services (DBS) Transformation Services Project Managers plan, mobilize and direct projects of medium to high complexity and scale from definition to closure. They are typically responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a single project or work stream of a larger project or program, proactively balancing scope, schedule, budget, risks, outcomes, and benefits. Projects can be standalone or form part of a program. They work closely with Program Managers, Senior Project Managers and Global PMO to ensure alignment of their project with the wider change portfolio and the Group Strategy

What you’ll do:

  • Be accountable to deliver the project by effectively identifying, planning, reporting, and managing relevant risks / assumptions / issues / dependencies as they arise throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Plan effectively around delivery constraints and optimize to maximize benefits and minimize execution risk.
  • Ensure the baselined scope, requirements, benefits, schedule, and budget are well managed within agreed limits. Where required, maintain project change control, ensuring any changes to baseline are managed through change request and all impacts are considered.
  • Apply customer centric approach by identifying the change and assessing its impact across the organization while preparing and supporting impacted individuals and teams to seamlessly adopt the change.
  • Understand and advocate design thinking and its use throughout the change ideation and delivery lifecycle.
  • Play a critical role in driving the success of our projects by ensuring alignment with value streams and achieving strategic objectives through the implementation of objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Design governance and operating models that promote effective decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and think laterally to identify solutions based on proven best practices or new approaches.

 

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Critical thinking by bringing structure and order to undefined and/ or large-scale problems to solve them systematically, logically, and independently.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills along with effective inter-personal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding and application of Agile principles, with a demonstrated ability to adapt and iterate quickly. SAFE Certification and demonstrated experience in PI (Program Increment) planning is desirable.
  • To be conversant with industry standards and demonstrate expertise in Agile project management delivery. Utilize tools such as JIRA and Clarity to track and monitor project progress, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • To demonstrate experience in creation of investment case with clearly defined outcomes, designing governance & operating Model, driving delivery excellence and robust governance.
  • To demonstrate experience in developing project plan and tracking execution while managing risks and issues
  • To demonstrate experience in change adoption processes - Plan and implement change interventions to enable smooth transition and embedding changes for effective transition to business as usual.

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • PMP / MSP / MOP or any other equivalent certification would be an added advantage.
