The Opportunity:

The Non Financial Risk Utility plays an important role in enabling the bank to operate within its risk appetite, by ensuring efficient and effective risk and control management.

The NFR achieves this by providing operational risk and control expertise, conducting high quality reviews of the bank's control environment, conducting end to end control assurance reviews on key controls, maintaining robust risk governance focused on material risk and issues, and evolving a culture of continuous and consistent risk management.

 

What you’ll do:

The tasks for this role may include some or all the following:

  • Delivering fair outcomes for our customers and ensure HSBC staff conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
  • Managing various sales quality reports.
  • Developing, maintaining and executing quality assurance programme/procedures for the frontline sales to ensure the Bank's standards are fully complied with.
  • Cultivating the enforcement of sales compliance fulfilment and sales best practices in the appropriate Global Business Function.
  • Sharing best in class leadership across the business, to ensure delivery of an excellent customer experience.
  • Promoting, fostering and monitoring sales compliance and sales integrity.
  • Providing recommendations to improve and streamline the operation flow of the front sales office and other relevant business units.
  • Where necessary, carrying out team administrative roles.
  • Providing the team management with required management information, in order to make an informed decision.
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Appropriate local certifications and/or licenses for Sales/Risk roles.
  • Knowledge of Financial Services/industry/products/regulations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of HSBC Sales Procedures and applications.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Communicate at multiple levels with confidence (written and verbal).
  • Good working knowledge of HSBC and the WPB division including relevant sales systems.
  • Good command in English and Chinese (including speaking Cantonese & Putonghua).
  • Good organisational and influencing skills.
  • Ability to understand urgency and prioritisation.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Chinese typing is preferable.
