Transformation Portfolio Director is a senior role facing off with senior executives in Risk, Compliance including Global functions and LOBs. This role is accountable for leading & driving business planning & strategy, transformation & operational performance across Risk and Compliance, while driving activities/ performance of global programs and regional teams within the US Risk and Compliance COO’s remit. This is a critical re-engineering and execution arm for Risk and Compliance bringing professional change management, operational improvement and analytics skills together with aim of ensuring enhanced management of risk with optimal efficiency while delivering against two of three HSBC Group priorities of Implementing Global Standards and Streamlining Processes & Procedures.

As our Risk and Compliance Transformation Portfolio Director  you will:

  • Ensure Global Alignment of all operational processes and procedures and transformation efforts
  • Provide process improvement and 're-engineering' expertise to improve/ continuously improve production efficiency and achieve operational performance improvements (OPI)
  • Provide consistent and integrated production management tools and processes
  • Deploy a risk-based operational metric framework
  • Improve Overall Operating Effectiveness (OOE)
  • Implement location strategies through management of capacity, consolidation and migration of work
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with internal customers by consistently delivering value-add services.
  • Work with executive management across Customer Groups and key partners (Risk and Compliance, Audit, Finance, HR etc.) to constantly challenge ‘perceived wisdom’, to achieve buy-in for the recommended solution and its implementation approach, to manage the impact of change and to ensure monetization of benefits. Deliver step change in operational performance (cost, service levels, and customer satisfaction) through the shaping of business change – aligned to global strategy and global / regional priorities.
  • Lead initiation and delivery of process reengineering initiatives that meet customer needs and anticipate and lead initiation of process reengineering initiatives to exceed customer expectations.

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $150,000.00 and $210,000.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Ensure Global Alignment of all transformation efforts
  • Identify opportunities or challenges which need to be taken forward in order to meet the overall strategy
  • Identify the biggest opportunities, the highest priorities and most ground-breaking options.
  • Operationalize the strategy and take it to the next level of detail in terms of integrated solution and plans
  • Support the function through its transformation, i.e. supporting the function from idea to implementation/fixing the problem.
  • Deliver business benefits through Reengineering focused on productivity, quality to achieve desired efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build and deploy a benefit tracking tool “Benefits Tracker” to ensure benefit realization is achieved
  • Deliver transformation using HSBC’s Business Transformation Framework (BTF) and Process Reengineering using industry standards methodologies (i.e. Lean Six Sigma, HSBC’s OOE)
  • Collaborate and developing a sense of community which incorporates process experts within the function, the business and service delivery.
  • Must have Transformation experience in global business
  • Must have an element of execution both US and globally
