Job description

Purpose of the role:

The role holder reports to the  Risk and Control Lead within the Country Enterprise Non-Financial Risk and is responsible for effective Implementation of Non-Financial Risk Framework through providing the required support, guidance, and oversight for .

The role holder is expected to work closely with different stakeholders across the organization in all 3 lines of defense whether locally, regionally, or globally.

Key responsibilities:

  •  Provide advice and guidance on the maintenance of an effective internal control environment.
  • Provide Consultancy and oversight on adequate control design, operation, monitoring plans and assessment by the designated owner.
  • Provide advise / guidance on policies & Procedures gap analysis.
  • Manage recording & reporting of Operational Losses.
  • Reporting of Risk & Control profile including (Monitoring activities, issues and events) to relevant WPB management and committees.
  •  Support & guide the relevant WPB in performing trigger event assessment, read across and External event assessment where applicable.
  •  Support & guide the relevant WPB in performing analysis of issues and internal events for proper identification of root cause and most appropriate course of remediation, including oversight on remediation activities.
  •   Promote risk awareness culture and participate in any other risk management activities.
  •  Perform Targeted / Thematic reviews Enterprise NFR Management Plans where applicable.
  •  Support the relevant WPB during 2nd, 3rd Line of defense reviews as well as External Audits.
  •  Support the Enterprise NFR Management in achieving functions agenda, planned goals and objectives.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  •  Strong understanding of HSBC Group structures, strategies, and policies 
  •  Practical experience in previous activities & projects.
  • Customer-focused with strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently.
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills; with ability to establish partnerships and effective collaborations with senior executives, peers, subordinates and stakeholders.
  •   Well-versed with planning, research and data analytics techniques
  •    Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
