- Analytics Decision Sciences team is responsible for handling projects to support the modeling \ forecasting needs within the financial services portfolios for a large global bank across one or more geographical regions
The Opportunity:
- The Regulatory Reporting Enhancement Program (“RREP”) objective is to ensure end to end prudential regulatory reporting processes are uplifted to meet regulatory expectations.
- The role holder will support/lead the workstreams under RREP including but not limited to data lineage, validation, risk controls & governance and process maps as part of a dedicated team to provide timely and effective delivery. Role holder would directly report to GAC lead of RREP and will be involved in project management activities.
What you’ll do:
- Responsible for delivering one of the many work streams under RREP
- Review/create data lineage, data quality validation for Basel models and ensure it is done according to organization set policies.
- Work with multiple stakeholders simultaneously and deliver in a timely, efficient, and effective manner.
- Recruit, on-board, train, coach and develop talent.
- Ensure adherence with all the applicable compliance policies (Data policies, regulatory reporting standards, Functional manual, Group Compliance Manual, Audit recommendations, Internal Control requirements, regulatory guidelines etc.) and business standards of Organization as applicable. Take timely action on Audit and IMR comments and be able to demonstrate compliance with Internal controls
Requirements
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- 7-year Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from reputed University with concentration on marketing, finance, economics or other quantitative field such as statistics or engineering.
- Strong analytical skills with around 8+ years of proven business analysis experience or equivalent. Knowledge and understanding of financial services preferred.
- Exposure of Retail Basel concepts such as PD, EAD, LGD, EL, RWA
- Habit of challenging status quo
- Good knowledge and hands on experience of Model Development OR Model Monitoring of Basel models
- Thorough understanding of retail banking along with project management skills
- Experience on data lineage and data validation is needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop and effectively communicate complex concepts and ideas.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams. Strong interpersonal skills and drive for success
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Exposure to regulatory reporting would be added advantage
