We are currently seeking for an ambitious individual to join the Automation team in the role of SME Manager (GCB 6) who can contribute significantly in that journey.
The Opportunity:
This role is aligned to Product Development team in MSS Ops, Data & Regulatory Reporting, which supports all automation requirements and strategic solutions across Data Ops domains like Accts & SSI, Instrument and Pricing as well as TnTR, TCFC, Collateral and Tax Ops teams.
The responsibility of the role is to design Automation solutions, provide Quality Assurance by code review as well as undertake PoCs for MSS DaRR domains across various functions on solutions built using C# & .Net technologies. This is an individual contributor role, should be flexible to work in shifts as per business requirement, coverage to be provided either in APAC or UK shifts as per stakeholder requirement as well as provide BAU support through shift mobiles either in AM coverage or PM coverage to address Prod issues outside BAU hours.
What you’ll do:
Build as well as provide support on all Automation initiatives i.e. new builds & defect management.
Ensure Quality Assurance by undertaking code review, functionality review in MVP calls.
Acquire good understanding of business process and business applications.
Deliver automation solutions in Agile methodology, candidate should be well versed in SDLC.
Evaluate existing automations for improvement / optimization & conduct PoCs on new opportunities.
Liaise with various Ops SMEs, document business rules and design process flows on BRD.
Stakeholder management, escalate issue which may affect milestones.
Risk management, to be aware of Data Standards and to be compliant as per HSBC policies.
Issue tracking on JIRA and ensure all documentation and sign offs are in place.
Requirements
What you will need to succeed in the role:
Minimum of 4-5 years of work experience in core programming/development in C#, dot net framework in Visual Studio IDE.
Experience in working with backend databases and writing complex SQL queries.
Should possess excellent MS Office skills, especially advanced MS Excel, VBA, MS Access.
Should be well versed with Coding Standards.
Good analytical skills and should be a problem solver.
Ability to develop end-to-end automation solution for complex business problems using C# primarily.
Knowledge of Git or similar collaboration tool is required.
Stakeholder Management, working with SMEs, preparing BRDs and transforming business requirements into technical solutions.
Good eye for detail & experience in managing huge code modules and data sets.
Experience in conducting UAT as well as Defect management by providing Production Support for live Bots.
What additional skills will be good to have?
