HSBC’s Technology Media & Telecoms (TMT) sector which is within the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) business is looking to add an energetic and driven individual to join the business.  The new Associate Relationship Manager (“ARM”) will be a crucial member of our team covering the Mid Atlantic to South East region of the United States, helping support and grow the 60+ relationships that the Team Lead and two GRB’s in the region manage in order to meet the unique needs of our these internationally focused clients that have revenues between ~$75mm and $5bn+. 

As our Senior Associate Relationship Manager, you will:

  • Work closely with our Global Relationship Bankers (“GRB’s”) to identify and develop business opportunities, jointly formulate client engagement strategy to deepen HSBC’s global wallet share and grow revenues, with an industry focus in the TMT sector

  • Develop these relationships with both existing and prospective new customers

  • Identify both flow and event driven opportunities bringing in sector, country, and product expertise as appropriate

  • Monitor and update deal pipeline, Prepare and present sales pitch materials, Provide outstanding client service

  • Research prospective clients and markets within the TMT sector

  • Effectively managing credit, operational, regulatory and other risks by working closely the Bank’s Risk, Credit Management and Relationship Service Management teams

  • Ensure the bank maintains compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements

  • Maintain outstanding data quality in the bank’s internal systems

For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $125,000.00 and $150,000.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Strong willingness to learn, positive attitude and a drive to succeed in this role and beyond

  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with an ability to build long term workplace relationships

  • Proven experience in similar positions, working with international companies and identifying product opportunities with corporate clients and seeing them through to a successful implementation

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects & engagements

  • Strong corporate banking product knowledge across Treasury/Cash Management, Foreign Exchange Trade Finance and Capital Markets

  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance processes, Credit underwriting knowledge and experience

  • Working knowledge of HSBC’s core banking platforms e.g. CME, OMNIA, ORC etc
