This role is for the Head of MSS Operational Collateral & Risk team, which covers

-                  Collateral processing, including data onboarding, valuation, margin, settlement and dispute processes

-                  Credit Counterparty Risk controls

-                  MRUD, including Initial Margin management & calculations

-                  Management information, and risk reporting and management linked to the above

-                  Working with other key stakeholders and departments including Financial Resource Management (FRM), Global Risk Analytics (GRA), Traded risk (TR), Financial Exposure Centre (FEC) and Non-Financial Risk Management (NFR)

In this role you will:

As a senior Change Lead, the role will support the D&RR Collateral & risk management team in the overall delivery of:

-        Managing the book of work for the MSS Operations Global Head of Collateral and Margin Rules, and relevant data sources used in those processes

-        Creating / supporting business and operations teams to create strategic blueprints and vision, to demonstrate strategic thinking, with prioritised execution plans and approach

-        Creating business cases on an annual / intra-year basis, and working with budget holders to determine and secure CTB funding (change and IT)

-        Influencing & interlocking other projects / programmes that impact the operational teams, and maintain a holistic book of work for the collateral and risk team

-        Co-working with business, IT, change teams, and architects to agree requirements, design, and implementation options and execution plans

-        Creating and ongoing management of programme / project / change delivery structures to effectively deliver ongoing change in line with business priorities and IT capabilities, with respective resource, budget and timeline management

 

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

·        Change management expertise along with collateral and margin experience including knowledge of the relevant data inputs and calculations linked to collateral initial margin and valuation margin / MRUD processes and associated regulations

·        People management and leadership experience, including managing other managers

·        Background in Investment Banking and Markets, with prior experience of working in an Operations / Middle Office capability, with knowledge of the Collateral and Risk regulations / implications a must

·        Working cross asset class, with a good understanding of financial products (Equities, Fixed Income, FX); knowledge of front to back trade lifecycles, market infrastructures, and banking risk/finance processes

·        Strong understanding of various Markets functions, and business control processes.

·        Proven track record in managing senior stakeholders at the level of Global functional leads and working with them to prepare business cases for new programs, design solutions and implementation roadmaps for approved programs and govern program implementation and benefit realisation

·        Hands on experience of implementing and managing agile ways of working for large complex global project teams
