The Opportunity:

This role is part of the Innovation and Gen AI tech team and is responsible for supporting the use cases delivery on Innovation and Gen AI, including New use case onboarding; design, development/coding, testing & deployment into Production.

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct application engineering as a full stack engineer.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business, architects, analytics and IT to an intelligent led, deliver data driven solution on top of cloud platform.
  • Work with Tech Lead and Solution Architects to complete the low-level design.
  • Collaborate with central teams (architecture, security, engineering, networks) who are responsible for delivering HSBC baseline cloud architecture.
  • Ensure Dev Sec Ops capabilities are built in as part of the solution.
  • Ensure development is completed at a high standard and is aligned with IT governance and control frameworks.
Requirements

You will be tenacious about doing things the right way and building efficient and ‘brilliantly simple’ business solutions. You will also be adept at working in customer facing roles within enterprise environments, helping clients to capitalize on technology for their commercial benefit.

High Level & Holistic Capabilities sought:

  • Overall 8+ years of experiences in application delivery.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalent; advanced degree is preferred.
  • Excellent core Python skills.
  • Prompt engineering experience preferred.
  • Hands on experiences in Google / Azure Cloud platforms.
  • Hands on experiences in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experiences in Generative AI applications with good understanding of RAG, Agentic Framework.
  • Experiences in micro-service architecture design.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, Storage, Cloud Functions.
  • Security. (IAM, AD, ADLDS, roles, service accounts, entitlements)
  • Events & Data Streaming: Data Proc, Pub-Sub, Confluent/Kafka.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and able to work independently and under pressure.
  • Ability to communicate and explain complex ideas in both oral and written English.
  • Good stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience using GIT, Jira, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins and Ansible.
  • Agile development, particularly Scrum/Kanban.
