We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Financial Engineer. 

Principal Responsibilities

• Utilise programming skills to automate and streamline software development processes related to global finance optimizing efficiency and minimising risks
• Apply data science expertise to solve complex modelling challenges, aligning solutions with business requirements and goals
• Maintain a deep understanding of current software engineering best practices, emerging cloud technologies, and financial market trends to keep systems innovative and efficient
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the financial engineering domain
• Contribute to architectural and design decisions to support our ongoing strategic solutions across all businesses
• Work independently and manage your time effectively to meet project deadlines for all developments ensuring high-quality deliverables
• Effectively communicate complex technical concepts related to software engineering in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Work closely with stakeholders across various business units and IT departments to translate requirements into effective technical solutions

• Software Engineering Expertise:
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying software applications
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience with Python frameworks for web development
  • Experience with building APIs and microservices architectures
  • Experience in DevOps and CI/CD pipelines is essential
  • Familiarity with a compiled language like Java, Rust and others is nice to have
  • Familiarity with Frontend and Backend architectures
  • Demonstrable hygiene: readable code, testable code, testing practices, documentation, maintenance
• Data Analytics Skills:
  • Experience in data science and analysis techniques
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
  • The ability to identify technical challenges, troubleshoot issues, and develop effective solutions is crucial
• Communication & Collaboration:
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Additional Skills:
  • Understanding of financial markets and products is a plus
  • Experience with automation tools and other scripting languages is a plus
• Work Ethic and Time Management:
  • Meeting deadlines and working independently are essential for this fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative and objective orientated
