We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Marketing Operations.

Role purpose (overall high-level summary of the role)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative Senior Manager - Marketing Operations, to support our global marketing efforts within Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB). This role focuses on aligning marketing plans with business priorities and ensuring effective governance processes are in place.

This role is critical to ensuring that marketing aligns with the bank’s global priorities and demonstrates clear, measurable impact on business performance. It’s ideal for a marketing operations leader who thrives on data, strategy, and cross-functional execution.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities (e.g., for Business, Customers and Stakeholders; internal control environment, etc.)

In this role you will:

Strategic Marketing Planning

  • Lead the global marketing planning process for CIB, ensuring alignment with business goals and growth opportunities
  • Help translate commercial objectives into prioritized marketing initiatives, identifying necessary resources and expected outcomes
  • Support the coordination of the global marketing calendar and campaign roadmap across various client segments and product lines

Budget & Investment Management

  • Contribute to the oversight of the global marketing budget, ensuring resources are strategically allocated for optimal ROI
  • Assist in developing investment models to evaluate marketing performance and channel efficiency
  • Collaborate with Finance and Business Management to align on forecasts and ROI frameworks

Governance, Process & Operational Excellence

  • Support governance and operational processes across marketing planning, budgeting, and execution
  • Promote the use of best-in-class tools and methodologies within the marketing function
  • Ensure marketing teams have the necessary data and insights for effective execution
  • Assist in delivering regular reporting to senior marketing and business leadership

Leadership & Teamwork

  • Act as a partner to Business and Client/Sector Marketing teams to support go-to-market strategies and business alignment
  • Foster a performance-driven culture through transparency and continuous improvement
  • Advocate for Agile Principles and support an Agile way of working within the team
  • Promote the organization’s values and create a diverse environment reflecting the HSBC brand
Requirements

Functional Knowledge

To be successful you will need:

  • Years of experience in marketing operations or planning roles within a financial service or B2B environment
  • Familiarity with marketing planning, investment modelling, and performance reporting
  • Understanding of the institutional banking landscape and related product lines
  • Strong analytical skills with knowledge of marketing KPIs and business metrics
  • Experience in complex organizations and collaboration across business and marketing leadership
  • Effective communicator with the ability to present insights to stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at multiple levels
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field preferred
