Under the Digital First strategy, WPB UK is moving from a data-rich to data-driven organization; the Data and Analytics department are central to this transformation. We deliver data analytics, machine learning (ML) and management information which are used to measure, automate and improve the performance of the business. We are at the heart of customer intelligence and marketing; using ML to communicate the right message, to the right customer, at the right time. 

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our M&S Bank squad in the role of Senior Messaging Operations Analyst. You will deliver high-quality customer communications across multiple channels. The role focuses on translating business requirements into compliant and engaging customer messages, driving operational excellence, enabling innovation, and ensuring consistent risk management in line with HSBC standards.

In this role you will:

•    Manage the end-to-end delivery process for customer communications in mult-channel (e.g. SMS, email, push, in-app messaging, etc), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
•    Translate business requirements into effective messaging through CRM and campaign management tools.                                                           
•    Act as a subject matter expert on Messaging Delivery, supporting training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing across the squad and wider team.
•    Drive process improvements and ensure risks are identified, escalated, and resolved appropriately.  Promote automation and innovation to improve efficiency and campaign effectiveness.
•    Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across business, products, and technical teams to achieve delivery goals.
 

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

•    Experience in a technical / systems driven role where you have followed a step-by step process. 
•    Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) 
•    Experience with databases and the ability to manipulate data using SQL / SAS - essential 
•    Having a good eye for detail and accuracy is essential 
•    Good knowledge of Agile methodology, with experience using JIRA and Confluence in squad-based delivery.

This role is hybrid and can be based in Chester or Sheffield.
