• The Finance On The Cloud Common Components Team provide a common set of re-usable frameworks and code, which interacts with both the Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure platform, enabling Finance value streams to achieve their required business processing.

The Opportunity:

• This is an exciting opportunity to join the Finance Data Technology IT Team, working as Finance Data Technology Senior Software Engineer.

What you’ll do:

• Working within the FCCC Team to design, deploy, and maintain scalable, highly available, and secure monitoring platform using industry best practices.
• Create and manage RESTful APIs to support various application functionalities. Work on integration third-party APIs and services to enhance application capabilities.
• Performs sustainable continuous improvement, identify and remove organizational barriers affecting the team, processes and products owned.
• Use Confluence to detail technical designs, user manual, release notes of owned products.
• Use JIRA to provide progress updates on development work.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Provide prompt technical support to internal users, including debugging data issues and helping with application usage.
• Ensure appropriate communication and release documentation is issued to our customers and stakeholders on new product deliveries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement system automation and configuration management solutions.
• Continuously improve engineering processes, system performance, and reliability.

• 3+ years of experience in software development using Python.
• Proven experience in building high-performance, concurrent applications.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIS, and related API service (e.g,, fast api).
• Experience in development and managing application configurations in environments like Docker, Kubernetes, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
• Excellent teamwork, independent thinking, a strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and self-motivation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Have strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• GCP Cloud Certification or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
