The Finance Transformation Platform version 2 (FTP V2) forms part of the Global Finance Change Programme (GFCP) with a focus on implementing a standard Finance IT platform globally. FTP Inbound Development team is to build and deploy interface between FTP and Product Systems (i.e HUB, Treats, etc) to facilitate standard, reusable data feeds for regional deployment including HK, ASP, NA and UK.  

The Opportunity:   

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Ledger Inbound Team in Finance Technology, working as Consultant Specialist on project delivery and production support team.  

What you’ll do:   

The job holder will have to perform the following duties:

• Involvement in reviewing requirements, work with different interface parties/users to identify the approach and work out project plan for applications.
• Regression and Impact analysis on CRs.
• Develop and implement IT solutions to meet business users’ requirements.
• Development and deployment of critical Finance change requests for FTP / Group Systems Interfaces for operation streamlining and compliance for global offices.
• Liaise with Project Manager/Test Manager and other stakeholders during the development and testing stages.
• Design of reusable test scripts and test data and ensure tractability between requirements and test cases.
• Coach junior staff for the testing skills and guide them on daily work.
• Maintain a good relationship with related stakeholders.
• Work with team leader for staff development.
• Design of reusable test scripts and test data and ensure tractability between requirements and test cases.

• 7*24 Production Support duty.

• 3+ years exposure to Mainframe design and development (Mainframe batch skill for JCL/COBOL).
• Have analysis and trouble shooting experience for minimum 3 year.
• Deep in thought and meticulous, and could spot out inconsistency and issues from instruction or requirement.
• Fast turnaround with outstanding quality output even for complex assignments.
• Dependable and capable of working independently with excellent quality, even under challenging schedule.
• Effectively influence team members through his/her exhibits of good practices and behaviors, enhancing team productivity.
• Fast learner and able to handle multiple tasks positively and effectively, with good time management.
• Be able to work under pressure to complete the project in tight schedule in a cost effective way.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong written, spoken and listening English.

What additional skills will be good to have?

• Excellent technical and FTP inbound applications knowledge and problem solving skills.
• Project Management and Business Analysis experience.
• Financial accounting domain knowledge, i.e Balance sheet, Liquidity, Regulatory reporting.
• Experience of IBM Rational Team Concert.
• Experience of managing ad-hoc requests and changes.

• Familiar with Agile and DevOps.
