The principal accountability of the Asset Distribution Transactor is responsibility for supporting the Global Trade Solutions (GTS) Business, through distribution and syndication of Trade Finance deals in the secondary market.

This role will be as a transactor in the Portfolio Management and Distribution Business. The team is responsible for managing and coordinating GTS's Portfolio Management and Distribution activity. Core responsibility is working with the assigned Origination teams in assessing market appetite and pricing for new deals and developing a strategy to distribute assets and growing the business whilst managing credit risk, risk weighted assets, execution of transactions in the investor market and promoting clear governance and controls. Engagement with the Global Businesses is key to ensure a coordinated approach and alignment to Group objectives.
 
This role will be as a lead transactor for Traditional Trade, Receivables Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Commodities, and other Structured trade products. The Transactor will work with all areas of the Global Trade Solutions business including Sales, Structuring, Product, Implementation, Transaction Management, Business Risk and Controls, Services, Business Management and Legal along with other second and third line of defence areas like Wholesale Credit, Capital Allocation Committees, Financial and Regulatory compliance.

As our Senior Vice President/Director, Global Trade Solutions (GTS) Portfolio Management & Distribution you will:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with investors
  • Coordinate and execute transactions with investors (including: drafting distribution offers, presentations, transaction documentation, and post-closing management)
  • Perform Market soundings and reads for transactions at origination stage
  • Drive strategy for transactional distribution in the US
  • Manage, track and report of Distribution Pipeline in coordination with Global PMD Team
  • Provide market understand of relevant fundamentals/drivers and apply these when assess the economic value behind Trade structures
  • Follow price and technical developments in relevant financial markets and articulate a house (or alternative) view on these markets
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of GTS management information, analysis and reporting framework that supports and informs timely and effective business management and decision making at all levels
  • Coordinate efforts to promote GTS both internally and externally leverage all channels

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $145,400.00 and $218,000.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Deep Knowledge of the GTS business and broader construct of HSBC’s Global Businesses
  • Experience with Financial Institutions relationship management
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize a range of requests/actions
  • Experience with Non-Bank Financial Institutions as Investors in Trade Finance Assets
  • Deliver timely execution of transactions with investors under strict deadlines
  • Excellent data analytics skills and ability to apply to business model
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills
  • Ability to grow and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to work within a small team structure and on solo tasks. Display a high level of initiative and ability to think creatively
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
