We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Senior Vice President Structured Banking

Responsibilities:

  • To originate, execute and lead complex event driven financing transaction, working closely with client and all the relevant internal and external stakeholders including RM, Credit Approvers, Legal, etc across the corporate customer base within Wholesale Banking.
  • Key mandates for the role is to execute and originate Club, Syndicated and/or complex Bilateral loan transaction with the type of transactions/deals including but not limited to (Acquisition financing; Recapitalization events i.e dividend recap/share buyback, Complex refinancing, Transformational Capex, HoldCo and Subordinated financing, Bridge to capital market financing, Cross-border financings and other complex funding requirements).

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Experienced in originating, executing and leading complex loan transaction (including but not limited to):

-Acquisition financing

-HoldCo and subordinated financing

-Debt refinancing

-Transformational Capex debt facility

-Dividend recap debt facility

-Share buyback debt facility

-Bridge to Capital Market (Bond, IPO, Right Issue) debt facility

-Hybrid Corporate Loan with Project Finance element

-Sustainability Linked Loan /Green Loan; and x) Debt facility within Fintech / E-commerce and Tech company

  • Proven capability to construct and develop financial model (3 statements: CF, PL and BS) with multiple sensitivity scenarios and strong understanding on CF based forecast to assess debt repayment capacity of Borrower using Microsoft Excel;
  • Able to produce among others high quality credit paper and proposal, pitch/financing deck demonstrating comprehensive and holistic understanding mainly on corporate credit risk, repayment risk, structural risk, commercial and financial risk environment for corporates engaged in multiple sectors and industries as well as spearheading the overall transaction process including leading discussion and negotiation with client and internal stakeholders;
  • Experienced in preparing term sheet which includes key facility terms, customary for complex loan facility under APLMA and strong understanding of key considerations for a debt facility structuring;
  • Experienced in leading and executing debt financing under Club and/or Syndicated transaction;
  • Background of working experience in relevant environment/s, i.e. Corporate Banking, Leverage Finance, Credit Analyst, Prominent Consultancy Firms, Private Equity, Venture Capital, DCM/ECM;
  • Experienced in APLMA standard facility agreement documentation;
  • A sound understanding and proven ability to interpret and work with financial data and number crunching;
  • Extensive experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint (financial modelling experience is vital)
  • Experience of planning and prioritising their own time effectively, concentrating on key commercial issues, aware of their responsibilities and committed to delivering these efficiently;
  • Ability to build trusted relationships within a team environment through consistent, high quality, on time delivery of assigned work;
  • Experience of building effective networks across business areas and developing relationships based on mutual trust;
  • Ambition and capability to develop knowledge and understanding and to continue their professional development within HSBC;
  • Role relevant qualifications, i.e. Suitable professional qualifications i.e. CFA / CPA are desirable but not essential;
  • A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial service.
