HASE Data team is a team supporting HK Hang Seng Bank on data platforms development and support. We maintain different technologies to enable plenty of banking management information reports and marketing activities. From year 2019, we started the journey of building new data platform on Google Cloud Platform and developing more new tools on business data analytics. We are leading on facilitating a data driven culture, deep diving on data value.

The Opportunity:

This role requires working collaboratively with multiple business parties and IT/support functions to analysis, execute and extract data from multiple data platforms. It requires to support wide scope banking products on management information and marketing promotions.

What you’ll do:

• Take part in business requirement study, system analysis, estimation and planning, maintain and drive the project life cycle.
• Lead on development activities and ensure comply with Group and local standard.
• Lead in internal/external communications and team collaboration on development and support work, ensure the objective is aligned cross teams and all functions work systematically.
• Take ownership on key quality assurance in projects and ensure delivery within planned schedule and budget.
• Take pro-active measure in continuously delivery quality and project efficiency improvement.
• Build and lead the team, develop the staffs and manage their performance, continuously raising the bar on delivery quality and development efficiency, maintain a stable team.

• University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 years of banking industry IT system development experience, with at least 5 years of project management experience.
• Solid knowledge of development methodologies specifically Agile/Scrum experience
• Require solid application development experiences on Oracle, SQL and PL/SQL, Linux, Shell scripting
• Exposure on Banking products data analytics and reporting is preferred
• Exposure on Cloud, Big Data, Data Analytics is preferred
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
• Strong team spirit, quality oriented and attentive to details
• Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
• Proficiency in both English and Mandarin, fluent on Cantonese

What additional skills will be good to have?

• Exposure on banking industry data analytics projects is an advantage
• Exposure on Big Data, Data Science is preferred
• Experience on Tableau, Qlik, Cognos, Jenkins, Control-M is advantage
• Google Cloud Platform experience and GCP certifications are good advantages
