The Opportunity

  • This role operates at the intersection of project leadership and strategic business management. The role holder will be responsible for leading delivery under assigned value streams, supporting leadership in decision making and driving operational efficiency. They will lead end-to-end execution while contributing to wider business oversight and governance, acting as a trusted advisor for leadership. This role requires strong project leadership skills, a commercial mindset, and the ability to influence and partner across diverse global stakeholders.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver within value streams balancing scope, schedule, budget, and risks to ensure delivery of measurable benefits in alignment with strategic objectives and customer outcomes
  • Engage senior leadership to ensure transparency, alignment and efficient decision making
  • Ensure compliance with change management and risk frameworks
  • Support the execution of strategic business plans, ensure that programmes align with financial, operational, and commercial objectives
  • Partner with leaders and internal/external stakeholders to drive execution and timely delivery of strategic priorities
  • Manage and develop junior resources, supporting their performance and career growth

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Project Lifecycle & Transformation: Strong understanding of project lifecycles, business transformation frameworks, change adoption processes, and agile/scrum methodologies
  • Tools & Technologies: Proficiency with project management tools such as Clarity, JIRA, MS Project; ability to manage project tracking, risk logs, reporting, and governance
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of banking, financial services, or shared services organizations, with experience in complex cross-country/regional projects
  • Stakeholder Management: Skilled in interacting with and influencing stakeholders at all levels, navigating complex matrices, and driving change through effective communication
  • Problem-Solving & Leadership: Strong critical thinking skills, ability to tackle complex problems, and lead in challenging environments, driving decisions with innovative solutions
  • Change Adoption & Transformation: Experience in managing change, from design and initiation to implementation, ensuring smooth transitions to business as usual
  • Global Mindset: A global outlook with customer empathy and strong business advocacy; ability to balance customer needs with organizational goals
  • Resource & Team Management: Proven leadership in managing teams, driving results, and fostering collaboration in dynamic and non-structured environments
  • Outcome Management: Expertise in strategic planning, operational efficiency, and financial management to ensure successful business outcomes
  • Collaboration: Ability to partner with senior leadership and teams, managing priorities, facilitating communication, and ensuring execution of strategic initiatives

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • Extensive experience and a solid understanding of process mapping and system tools to create processes.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Project management certifications such as PMP, MSP, Prince2, or Agile are advantageous
  • Develop relationships with and support stakeholders at a Group and regional level.
  • Change Management – Drive change, adopt a positive attitude, can do approach. Inspire team members to improve.
  • Relationships - Build and develop relationships to ensure confidence and trust.
  • Optimize schedules for delivery and migration of system support functions into Finance locations.
