We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President I, Lending Specialist.
Principal Responsibilities
In this role you will
- Act as subject matter expertise and work in close partnership with Relationship Managers on the following:
- Explore new lending opportunities within Relationship Manager portfolio
- Adopt a need-based approach to understand customers’ borrowing needs and provide appropriate lending products (such as mortgage, insurance premium finance, equipment finance, etc.) to customers for enhancing relationship stickiness and improving wallet share
- Accountable for end-to-end credit assessment applications / renewals, fulfillments and monitoring
- Provide necessary training to the Relationship Managers on credit products
- Grow asset book and net income interest with Key Performance Indicators
- Improve overall return on risk weighted assets while manage risk weighted asset consumption in a strategic way
- Minimize operational losses and bad debts by upholding credit policy and lending guidelines along with effective control on risk mitigations
To be successful you will need
- Solid experiences on Credit and Lending
- Previous portfolio management or sales experience preferred
- Excellent analytical ability and strong writing skills for quality delivery of credit and business proposal
- Good understanding of commercial banking products and services
- Ability in guiding and advising other Relationship Managers, and influencing peers and junior colleagues
- Good level of business acumen and international commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues
