Commercial Banking – Partnership & Innovation
Hang Seng’s Commercial Banking (CMB) business provides customized one-stop financial solutions to our corporate customers, from prime small and medium-sized businesses to publicly listed companies.
For customers conducting business locally or around the world, we offer a comprehensive range of services including corporate lending, trade and receivables finance, structured loan, cash management, investment, treasury services, insurance and e-Banking services. As a reliable financial partner, we attend to the specific business needs of our customers and provide efficient tailor-made banking solutions through our relationship managers and dedicated specialists.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Vice President, Partnership & Innovation
Principal responsibilities
Identify and innovate new business cases, including but not limited to data-led partnership, adoption of fintech.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive commercial banking customer growth and lending businesses.
Assess market feasibility, regulatory implications, and strategic fit of proposed initiatives.
Lead the delivery of business cases from concept through execution—including partner identification, product design, client acquisition, onboarding, credit assessment, and post-credit monitoring.
Ensure initiatives have clear business KPIs such as revenue growth, cost optimization, increased product adoption, or improved customer satisfaction.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on emerging technologies, market trends, and regulator-driven initiatives (e.g., CDI, IADS).
Leverage market insights to recommend digital and data-driven solutions for competitive advantage.
Identify the right tech partners for business with next gen tech solutions exploration.
- Proven experience in the banking sector, with an in-depth understanding of commercial banking business models, operations, products, and services.
- Strong track record of delivering measurable business growth or transformation projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of banking regulatory frameworks and experience in regulator-led innovations.
- Existing network and relationship-building skills with external partners, fintechs, and industry stakeholders.
- Experience in frontline customer engagement is a strong advantage.
- Strong awareness of emerging market trends, technologies, and digital transformation strategies.
- Excellent written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
- Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
