The new vice president is charged with supporting HIF Management in proactively monitoring credit quality of portfolio and assisting in restructuring discussions with clients to minimise provisions and credit losses.  In addition, the role will assist with distribution activities in the Primary and Secondary loan markets in conjunction with Structured Syndications, US Private Placements and Debt Capital Markets

As our Vice President, Portfolio and Asset Management you will:

  • Support HIF Management in proactively monitoring credit quality of portfolio and assisting in restructuring discussions with clients to minimise provisions and credit losses. Ensure that problems with assets under management are identified as early as possible and remedial action is taken as soon as possible. Manage the portfolio proactively
  • Monitor, prepare amendment/waivers & credit reviews on PF and EF assets and ensure, in conjunction with Coverage and CAU, robust audit trail in respective HSBC systems
  • Understand, observe, and apply all key Credit policy requirements
  • Prepare reports on portfolio including sector concentration reports, RWAs and liquidity management
  • Contribute to financial & regulatory reporting (TM1, OMNIA)
  • Assist front line deal directors with proper review & submission of credits to Risk for new deals, as needed
  • Manage key financial and operational risks by understanding and fulfilling the roles and responsibilities of "risk owner" and "control owner" within the Three Lines of Defence
  • The PM role is integral to the coordination of assets sales in the Americas and acts as a coordinator between multiple distribution channels available to the HIF Americas business
  • The key customers/stakeholders include HBUS Risk, WPM, ISV, HBUS Finance, Internal members within HIF, PM team members in other regions, External contacts with clients in portfolio as well as other banks, etc for secondary sales.

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $150,000.00 and $180,000.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Technical understanding of EF and PF products
  • Familiarity with CARM, complex limits systems, TM1, OMNIA and other Bank financial reporting systems would be an asset
  • Adherence to FINRA Requirements within GB approved timeframe (series SIE, 63, 7, 79).
  • Strong credit and portfolio management skills
  • Experience of working on Infrastructure Finance transactions and structures
  • Understanding of project finance financial models
  • Ability to navigate complex legal documents
  • Understanding of environmental and sustainability risks
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
