LABOR’S PERMANENT LABOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

 

 

Service Support Engineer, HSBC Technology & Services (USA) Inc., Chicago, IL:

 

Monitor Ansible Automation Platform and Kong and Kubernetes API hosting platform systems operation to detect potential problems. Identify system data, hardware, or software components required to meet user needs. Design, develop and deploy Ansible Playbooks to manage system infrastructure. Perform ongoing hardware and software maintenance operations, including installing or upgrading hardware or software, which includes designing, developing and deploying Python and GO Rest APIs. Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture, including the design of Self Healing solutions. Collaborate with engineers or software developers to select appropriate design solutions or ensure the compatibility of system components. Build and configure Cloud Infrastructure AWS and GCP (Infrastructure as Code), using Terraform modules. Research, test, or verify proper functioning of software patches and fixes. Configure servers to meet functional specifications. Develop Jenkins Pipelines (Groovy scripts) for continuous integration and deployment and testing of APIs. Document design specifications, installation instructions, and other system-related information. Perform security analyses of developed or packaged software components and integrate DevOps tools with Hashi Vault for secrets management. Configure Monitor and Alerting using App Dynamics. Provide technical guidance or support as needed. Follow or establish functional or system standards to address operational requirements, quality requirements, and design constraints. Communicate technical information through presentations, technical reports, or white papers. Develop Observability Dashboards using Prometheus and Grafana and Splunk. Develop efficient and effective system controllers including Change Automation for Services.

 

Telecommuting permitted up to 20%.

 

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. Pay range: $148,949 to $158,949 per year.

Requirements

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience; OR a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 2 years of related work experience.

 

Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

·         Python;

·         Ansible Automation Platform;

·         Kong and Kubernetes;

·         Terraform or HashiCorp;

·         Jenkins, Groovy, and GIT;

·         GO;

·         ServiceNow;

·         Splunk;

·         Unix System Administration;

·         Shell Scripting;

·         AppDynamics; and

·         Docker.
