Principal responsibilities 

The role holder would sit in the Communications function. The principal accountability would be to support the execution of the communications plans, campaigns and messaging in line with HSBC purpose, values, strategy, and global policies.. The role holder would support external communications to maintain and boost brand’s visibility in the market as well as internal communications for employees. 

The job will involve some or all of the following tasks:

·        Supporting effective communications of HSBC priorities, company purpose and business activities with guidance from the line manager to align with business strategies and enhance HSBC’s brand and reputation

·        Implementing external communications initiatives, including writing press releases and bylined articles, and organising press events (press conferences, media roundtables, media interviews, etc.)

·        Supporting internal communications activities, including executive communications, employee engagement, and creating content for monthly newsletters and internal communications materials

·        Assisting in executive communications targeting both external and internal stakeholders to boost management’s profile and position HSBC as a thought leader in international banking.

·        Enhancing media relations, especially in business, technology, and sustainability sections

·        Managing issue communications with guidance from the line manager

Requirements

         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field

         3 -7 years of experience in communications or public relations within corporate/multinational companies or PR agencies

         Strong media relations skills

         Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Thai and English

         Ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage crisis communications

         Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
