We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Actuarial Manage - GLOBAL INTEGRATED REPORTING.

Principal responsibilities

  • Work closely with local actuarial teams to ensure smooth execution of the IFRS17 reporting process to support financial analysis and the provision of business insights.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for ongoing development of IFRS17 technical methodologies and the implementation of these across all markets (both actuarial and accounting aspects) in compliance to Group Policy to assess the impact on the financial results and Global Infrastructure.
  • Define requirements, management processes, and design detailed solutions and structures based on business requirements that would help innovate the reporting process.
  • Collaborate with local insurance entities to optimise their solution design and reporting process, act as a subject matter expert to support markets.
  • Work closely with the Global development team, in developing and maintaining the Global IFRS17 solution that includes CSM, Reporting & MI Dashboard, Planning and Forecasting tool.
  • Carry out various testing programmes to ensure new models and workflows are compliant with bank’s standards.
  • Be the technical actuarial lead for the Global Integrated Reporting team in Guangzhou, supporting the development and management of more junior members of the team.

  • Experienced, qualified actuary with recognised professional body (e.g. IFoA, SOA).
  • 7+ years’ experience, with a proven track record within life insurance companies or consultancy firms.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS17 and/or financial reporting is essential.
  • Proven professional experience in programming and developing actuarial solutions using software such as Prophet or Python.
  • Experience in managing a team.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a proven ability to communicate technical concepts to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation skills, with expertise in presenting and producing high quality reports at governance forums.

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
