We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assurance Assistant Vice President - FINANCE CONTROL OFFICE.

Principal responsibilities

  • Monitor the internal controls framework across the region and assess the effectiveness of controls, independently from control owners within Finance and Non –finance area that support to mitigate Financial Reporting Risk.
  • Drive the development Finance Assurance plan and monitor the assurance review progress against plan.
  • Monitor and test the design and operating effectiveness of key controls and challenge existing control activities to gain assurance that the control environment is operating in line with risk appetite.
  • Identify remediation actions for control weakness identified during respective reviews, agree these with control owners and ensure issues are recorded in accordance with internal external standards and where possible assist in the remediation steps to be taken.
  • Manage train and support the teams to ensure proper execution of Assurance roles.
  • Work closely with the internal controls functions, SOX and NFR team to continue integration of SOX / Operational risk testing as part of over all framework.

  • Finance or Accounting qualification with relevant work experience covering risk and control in banking / financial services industry (especially the experience of audit and assurance work)
  • 2  Strong control mindset and good understanding of the operations and processes in Finance is preferred.
  • Knowledge on Enterprise Risk Management framework
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Effective communication (both verbal and written), collaboration and interpersonal skills are critical. 
  • Commitment to drive continuous improvement, self-motivated, confident, and capable of working autonomously as well as being a good team player.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.   

Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated above.
