The Director, Customer Analytics will be responsible for continued development of the analytics commercialization strategies across deposit, lending and wealth products, transaction and distribution channels. These commercialization strategies should help to optimize value to the business and improve customer experience. Additionally, this role provides leadership and support deploying analytic solutions to prevent fraud.

As our Director, Customer Analytics you will:

  • Coordinating all analytics work related to Product Analytics and Strategic Fraud Analytics
  • Partner very closely with the Retail Product team (Heads of Transaction Banking, Unsecured Lending and Mortgage) to identify reporting and analysis requirements, develop an “order book” of work, and coordinate with our GAC team in Mexico to get the work done within agreed upon timelines 
  • Responsible for supporting Strategic Fraud Analytics, partnering with our local Fraud team and our Global Analytics team in deploying analytic models and rules for fraud prevention

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $128,100.00 and $165,000.00

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Experience ideally in a Commercial Banking environment or a client focused environment with a demonstrated understanding of commercial lending and credit risk assessment. A minimum of two years of underwriting / credit experience is optimal
  • Experience of working within a global environment and with international clients
  • Experience with comprehensive company and market research along with tools and systems used in this analysis (i.e. CapIQ, D&B, LinkedIn)
  • Broad knowledge of Corporate Banking and Markets structures, products and services
  • Knowledge of CRM systems, transaction structuring/profitability analysis
  • Proven leadership skills including coaching, motivation and the ability to project/engender ownership of corporate goals in others
  • Strong ‘team’ skills promoting an environment of co-operation and trust, overcoming resistance where encountered
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Good prioritizing, organizational and time management abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or similar
