Our ambition is to establish UAE as a Wealth Hub for the region for HSBC with a multi-year investment over the next 5 years, serving the full client continuum. The investment will enable IWPB UAE to develop a competitive product suite, best-in-class digital offering and doubling the number of relationship managers and introducing investment counsellors and Foreign Exchange (FX) advisors. The Insurance Products team is tasked with the responsibility to develop an optimal range of products that can cater for changes in market and economic conditions.  The jobholder is responsible for developing appropriate product proposition and strategies as well as delivering the relationship with third party insurance product providers

In this role, you will:
• Product level performance in generating revenue from existing and new business across the key markets and customers
• Work closely with the Wealth and Distribution teams to consistently deliver excellent product development/distribution and sales performance
• Ensure through constant evaluation of market trend, customer group segmentation and regular review of insurance product portfolio, optimize the product suite, identify product gaps and business opportunities and deliver initiatives to build and sustain competitive edge
• Personally hold technical expertise in all products, as well delivering change programs in line with strategy enabling achievement of revenue targets
• Evaluate product proposals from insurance providers, ensuring they meet both business requirements and client need
• Ensure products are launched in line with relevant group policies
• PIRs must be conducted in a timely and effective manner. Due consideration should be given to relevant risks, competitiveness, and profitability
• Leverage product provider capabilities in terms of training and communications to improve Relationship Manager productivity
• Personally spend significant time with frontline colleagues to understand and elevate pain points in the Insurance process
• Constantly strive to deliver streamlined and ever more efficient process for the client to complete business with HSBC
• Deliver multi-channel solutions, with a specific focus on digital, to allow clients to interact with the bank in the medium they most prefer

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Relevant experience in product development, sales or marketing in products with leading Financial Companies.
• Experience in coordinating insurance products activities/sales/training/IT/financial planning in the Wealth business.
• Experience in both developing and developed markets.
• Proven track record in working in multi-function projects.
• Experience of identifying and successfully integrating product manufacturing
• Product knowledge of insurance products specifically around protection and legacy planning 
• Culturally sensitive and understanding of local customer and market needs.
• Able to take responsibility for the sales process.
• Work closely with the respective country to develop, penetrate and distribute Insurance products to Retail customers.
• Work closely with all Insurance Partners across the Region.
• Strong leadership skills coupled with a high and demanding standard for delivery.
• Able to operate effectively in a complex matrix driven environment.
• Able to influence, engage and lead in a positive, inspiring manner.
• Graduation degree is a must to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
