Protective Security (PS) has responsibility for managing physical risk and a number of additional security related responsibilities. Physical Risk arises from a number of different sources which are primarily criminal in nature or intent – armed robbers, opportunist thieves, organised gangs, terrorists, social or political activists, vandals etc. Protective Security also manages a number of activities which fall outside this including executive/close protection, event security, traveler security, personal risk assessments, kidnap and ransom.

Role Purpose
The role provides leadership and guidance in relation to all physical risk security matters in market. The role holder has a number of core areas of responsibility

- Operationally oversee all Protective Security activity in Taiwan
- Manage the response and resolution to any material security incidents
- Provide clear operational direction and accountability
- Build trusting relationships with key stakeholders based on a common understanding of roles and responsibilities
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Protective Security
- Ensure the PS team works in alignment with global and regional policy, Protective Security standards and applicable local regulations
- Manage Protective Security team and vendors

- Strong protective security management knowledge, understanding and practical experience.
- Detailed understanding of physical and personal security controls, techniques, and their application.
- Good awareness of third-party influences on our ability to operate.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate and negotiate with all levels of management.
- Ability to be a self-starter and an innovative thinker.
- Exceptional organisational and planning skill.
- Preferably educated to degree level or has attained relevant security industry qualifications (non-IT security related) for example ASIS CPP, PSP or similar, and relevant membership to professional bodies.
- Ex-military, law enforcement or corporate security experience is an advantage.
- In-depth CCTV technology knowledge, experience, or certification (Honeywell certificate) is a plus.
