  • The role is responsible for leading, acquiring and growing profitable long-term relationships with priority corporate and multinational clients which are headquartered in Korea and require solutions.
  • The holder will need to establish a holistic understanding of clients’ needs, operating with the key and primary decision makers within the client organization, entering into dialogue with the client in regard to fulfill long and short term banking needs which should include both event and flow transactions.
  • To act as a Global Relationship Manager (GRM), accountable and responsible for providing global customer coverage and effective delivery of our franchise, providing global customer coverage and effective delivery of our franchise. This is to be achieved through the coordination of relationship management activities with the International Subsidiary Banking (ISB) RMs (and RRMs where applicable) of the subsidiaries/ branches/ affiliates/ representative offices of the client company and also through close collaboration with product partners in order to deliver comprehensive solutions to meet a customer’s cross border needs.
  • The job holder is also expected to act as part of the leadership team and contribute to the growth of business corridor activity while contributing to the wider country business in terms of strategy, risk, and opportunity.
  • The role holder will be measured on increasing client revenues (total global revenue), marketing to existing Group clients and identifying and acquiring new prospects. The role holder shall serve as the conduit between Korea and the rest of the ISB RMs and will bridge the cultural and business gaps between the countries.

  • Experience in growing relationships with Korean headquartered multinationals is a must
  • Strong understanding of Multinational Companies business environment
  • Broad range of knowledge of industry sectors
  • Experience of structured banking transactions, transaction banking and coordination of business/flows across geographies
  • Excellent knowledge of the Bank’s structures, products and services
  • Proven ability to work effectively with colleagues throughout the Group / Network
  • Experience of managing the competing priorities of deal flows, credit quality and the requirement to drive income 
  • Proven self start with an ability to project and engender ownership of corporate goals in others and communication skills
  • Experience of dealing with senior stake holders, both internally and externally 
  • Experience in environments requiring strong analytical skills and understanding of key financial information and data 
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the external environment within Country, including regulatory, political, competitor and market 
  • Global perspective and understanding of economic affairs and policies 
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and Korean
  • Min 7 yrs experience in banking industry (preferred client coverage experience)
