Digital Business Services (DBS) is a pivotal part of the Group, providing essential operational and technical support to our global businesses and helping improve customer service and efficiency. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as an Operations Officer, Credit Services.

Principal Accountabilities:


·        Accountable for achieving desirable the service delivery results correspondence within agreed Performance Level Agreement of Credit Services. The key services of the team is to provide credit-related supports to Corporate customers and ensure effective controls are in place to meet the control requirements from regulators by:

o   Supporting corporate frontlines in handling the administration of loan transaction during its entire tenor including loan drawdown/repayment/extension/maintenance, keep and manage credit and security documents.

o   Ensuring effective delivery of credit services and products to customers.

o   Providing proper mechanism for document tracking, capturing and maintaining credit-related information in the recording systems.

o   Controlling operating risks related to the loan.

·        Process and ensure that all transactions/facilities are properly authorized within set limits.

·        Assist Operations Manager in collating data and providing management information statistics/reports.

·        Assist Operations Manager in ensuring sufficient crewing of staff.

·        Implement measures to increase productivity levels.

·        Conduct checks, directs clerical staff on rectification and corrective action on deficiencies.

·        Manage daily operational activities to ensure timely processing of new applications.

·        Review & monitor MIS data and provide management information statistics/reports.

·        Ensure various units of Operations comply with BIM/FIM regulations, audit recommendations and, DIB procedural guidelines.

·        Coordinate with Operations units in the management of operational risk associated with the role and take action to minimize the likelihood of operational risk occurring, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting.

·        Implement the Group Compliance policy locally by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance, Regional Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators.

·        Maintain HSBC control standards and follow Group Compliance Policy to minimize operational risk by:

o   Remaining compliant with and ensures awareness of Audit and Group requirements and other internal guidelines.

o   Ensuring strict compliance with government banking regulations.

o   Timely implementing internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.

·        Ensure department maintains a high standard of customer service delivery:

o   Conduct investigations/gathers information so that timely responses to customers’ requests and instructions are maintained.

o   Contribute towards the continuous improvement of the department.

·        2-3 years of experience in operations role.

·        Good command of English.

·        Analytical and detail oriented.

·        Experience of interpreting and analyzing a large volume of information and data.

·        A team player with good communication and inter-personal skills.

·        Flexibility to support other operational teams when required.

·        Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
