Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Resilience Risk Specialist. Resilience Risk covers the wide Non-Financial Risk areas that focus on the bank ability to deliver our critical services in resilience manner, under various environment and pressure. The Risk covers mainly wide range of technology, data, third party until contingency risk.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice and support to Operational and Resilience Risk Stewards to understand and explain in non-technical terms the impact of most material matters under that risk to our respective counterparts.
- Deliver the tailored and specific expertise, while building the bank-wide risk profile for on the Resilience Risk area for various governance meeting, to enable First Line of Defence to successfully deploy and operate mitigating key controls.
- Monitor the external environment to get early sight of emerging risks and provide guidance on managing those upcoming challenges.
- Leading regulator and audit engagement pertaining Resilience Risk, ensure compliance and timely completion of audit actions or findings.
- Develop and oversight implementation of localized Non-Financial Risk framework activity for Resilience Risk while provide or support training and capability uplift for ORR and HSBC Indonesia team to ensure robust understanding of all RR risk areas.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong level of business knowledge and experience of working in one or more resilience risk specialist areas.
- Strong level of risk management knowledge and relevant experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the internal control environment.
- A BA or BS University Degree, professional certificate in one or more RR specialist disciplines.
