Department Profile:
Global Payments Solutions (GPS) is an integral part of our client proposition and employs our global network to capture market share and deliver growth.
Our payments business connects clients worldwide and enables efficient movement of cash through cash management products across payables, receivables, clearing and foreign currency, liquidity, and liability and investments.
Role Purpose:
To develop, enhance and maintain the range of GPS products to meet the cash management needs of the bank’s Corporate and FIG clients to deliver the bank’s cash management products. For assigned products suites, generate product ideas for existing or new products, screen and prioritise product ideas, coordinate market research, development project, conduct market rollout and product commercialization activities.
Develop and execute sales and marketing plans to increase product penetration, usage and revenue for assigned products.
Manage assigned product profitability, costing, margin and pricing decision. Track, benchmark service quality and drive internal processes to ensure smooth product delivery.
Principal Accountabilities (Key activities & decision making areas):
- Responsible for the profitability of the assigned products and services.
- Responsible for developing and managing the products assigned to ensure that the products meet the market needs and contribute towards the overall GPS objectives
- Ensuring that all products comply with local regulations, HSBC group policies and internal procedures.
- Improve HSBC’s profile, marketshare and ‘share or mind’ in the marketplace vis-à-vis the competition
- In consultation with the product team in ASP GPS, develop plans to close local product gaps anywhere possible to enhance our competitiveness.
- Contribute to the development, formulation and growth of the GPS business in the region.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications (Key requirements for the role):
Minimum 4 years of cash management experience preferably in the area of product management.
Possesses project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to interact, communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels and across functions.
Business level Japanese and English for local development and governance process
