- Stress testing is a vital component in assessing the bank’s vulnerabilities, determining capital adequacy and thereby the resilience of the bank through improved risk and capital management. The role holder will have the responsibility for maintaining processes within the bank.
- Change Delivery drives the BAU projects and any transformation opportunities from inception through to benefits realization for both internal customers and regulators, including the PRA, FRB, HKMA and EBA.
- Significant changes will be required in the Operational Model (Organization & Governance, process and systems) across a number of work streams to deliver these stages.
The Opportunity:
- The Stress Testing’s CaRT Change Program supports the Consolidation of Group and local stress testing and actuals results across Finance and Risk. The Program aims to provide solutions across process, systems and people to the stakeholders across a wider set of functions in Risk and Finance – central stress testing teams, Wholesale Risk, Retail Risk, Regulatory Reporting, Insurance Risk, etc.that will allow user hand-offs to be automated, as well as providing reports on the monitoring of operational timelines.
- The Primary areas of focus will be:
- Requirements gathering, Design & Build, documentation, FT & UAT and Live support.
- Working closely with GEC committee members, core process owners and different teams across FCD and SPST
What you’ll do:
Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas
- Leverage Python(Flask and Django Framework), SQL and VBA to upgrade, enhance the existing design and develop innovative and scalable applications.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implement solutions with agility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.
User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) Design
- Design and implement intuitive, responsive, and aesthetically pleasing UIs.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine and enhance the overall user experience.
- Ensure the application is easy to navigate and manage for end-users.
- Operational Effectiveness & Control
Agile Methodology
- Work in an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
- Adapt quickly to changing requirements and contribute to continuous improvement within the Agile framework.
Project Management
- Manage and prioritize tasks efficiently to meet aggressive project timelines.
- Proactively identify potential roadblocks and propose solutions to keep projects on track.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and accomplishments effectively to the project team.
- Self-Motivation and Results Orientation.
- Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and initiative to drive projects forward.
- Set and achieve ambitious goals, contributing to the overall success of the team and organization
Requirements
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with proficiency in Python, SQL and VBA.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles and a track record of creating user-friendly applications.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality software within aggressive timelines.
What additional skills will be good to have?
- Familiarity with additional programming languages or frameworks.
- Previous experience in financial or data-intensive applications.
- Certification in Agile methodologies.
