  • As a AVP – Global Regulatory Reporting will assist in the production of the day-to-day reporting requirements for all five GNM offices: AMHK, AMFR, AMEU, AMDE & AMUS and these will include but not limited to EMIR, AIFMD, PRIIPs and circa other reports.

  • This position will focus on supporting the production and expertise of the reporting production from Global Regulatory Reporting Hubs (GRRH). This role will review the reporting output ensuring it meets the local regulatory requirements, identifying reporting issues and working with the GRRH to ensure they are resolved. The Regulatory Reporting team specialises in researching, managing and implementing response to all regulatory provisions that affect the firm’s investments with internal and external advisors, focusing on regulatory reporting to applicable regulatory bodies both locally and globally. Responsibilities include reviewing new products, markets, reputation analysis of all product lines as regulations evolved, as well as being the go-to liaison person on regulatory implementation.
    The Opportunity:

  • Review, validation and submission of regulatory reports produced by the GRRH teams. 

  • Review exceptions on a daily basis to ensure no breaches, raising any potential issues as they arise

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting produced and escalate any issue to management

  • Until the Regulatory Reporting GTOM is fully implemented responsibility for producing all regulatory reports and ensuring accuracy, timeliness of execution of these reports

  • Leverage knowledge of regulations & financial markets to identify and resolve reporting issues

  • Provide SME knowledge in the governance of the Regulatory Reporting processes ensuring M.I. is timely and meaningful and future process and regulatory changes are implemented compliantly.

  • Research, manage and implement responses to all the provisions that affect COE, communicating implications of existing and proposed regulation to senior management, and developing potential responses

  • Support engagement with business and expertise e.g. vetting of proposed transactions, new products, taking into account internal and regulatory requirements across asset classes.
    What you’ll do: 

     

     

    Impact on the Business

  • Working as a team within the Global Regulatory Reporting framework on remediation of issues relating to regulatory reporting.

  • Review/Sample regulatory returns to ensure data is of high quality and that the return meets the regulatory reporting regime criteria.

  • Investigating and escalating with management issues relevant to regulatory reporting returns. 

  • Working with London regulatory reporting productions hub and CEO Ops and IT and Business management.

  • Participating in the governance of the local regulatory reporting process.

Customers / Stakeholder

  • Ensure regulatory, risk and internal audit standards are being operated effectively and always maintained.

  • Build strong relationships with all internal stakeholders, adopting a joined-up approach to the execution of tasks with minimum conflict, while ensuring the independence of regulatory reporting.

  • Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with key external stakeholders and vendors. 

  • Provide stakeholders with insight into current/new regulatory regimes. 

  • Provision of high-quality service levels to all parts of global regulatory reporting business streams and both internal and external clients at all times.

  • Adopt a “can do” attitude and always willing to help and assist whenever possible

     

     

    Leadership & Teamwork

     

  • Work collaboratively across COE business teams, AMG and other HSBC entities.

  • Foster strong relationships with AMG, Compliance, Risk, IT and Finance colleagues.

  • Proactively share knowledge with team members on regulatory developments and industry best practices.

     

     

    Core Role Responsibilities

     

  • Ensure a robust daily/monthly/quarterly/annually regulatory reporting regime is maintained to provide timely and accurate reporting

  • Work with management to ensure regulatory returns are fit for purpose and meet the reporting requirements as defined by the local regulator

  • Ensure that regulatory reports are prepared for key stakeholders and supported by appropriate analytical review

  • Ensure regulatory reporting issues are reported on a timely basis

  • Participate to the local DIMs reviews whenever required

     

     

    Regulatory Reporting Functions

     

     

  • Production and control of local regulatory returns

  • Review and quality testing of data within the regulatory returns

     

     

    Ad-Hoc Projects

     

     

  • Assistance will be required from time to time for ad-hoc projects relating to regulatory reporting
     

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

  • Aware of Asset Management regulatory framework.
  • Good understanding of regulatory reporting and investment monitoring requirements.

  • Customer focused, able to commuincate at all levels. 

  • Good communication skills and confidence to effectively engage multiple stakeholders. This includes strong interpersonal skills to be able to collaborate well within the immediate team, as well as stakeholders.

  • Possesses strong analytical skills and good working ability with data

  • A good eye for detail across multiple data sources. 

  • Inquisitive and curious, resourceful, with a strong drive for excellence. Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure and ongoing priorities.

  • Proficient in using various Microsoft Office packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
