- The Client Information Services (CIS) team falls under the Data Asset Services Function and is an integral part of the Data & Analytics Office (DAO). The Objective of CIS is to support the DAO business in the collation and accurate representation of the Mastergroup data for the GB & CMB client base for BFCR, Finance, Wholesale Market Risk and relationship management thus enabling the business to accurately and consistently manage their client revenue reporting, credit risks, profitability etc.
The Opportunity:
- The purpose of Client Information Services (CIS) is to maintain the Mastergroup data required by the GB and CMB Businesses to effectively manage client relationships from a commercial coverage and credit risk perspective. The CIS team owns and manages the golden source repository for all Mastergroup data through the portal called Master Group Services (MGS or also commonly referred to as the CIS portal).
- The principle focus is to ensure data sources and processes are managed effectively to ensure data integrity. In this context, these sources and processes are those which impact the GBM or CMB or Wholesale Client Lists across countries.
- This role is a GCB 5 (Individual Contributor) role which will require the incumbent to have a detailed understanding of the end-to-end services / BAU processes, product provisions and data flows from the respective source systems into Master Group Services or CIS.
Based on this context, the advertised role plays a key role in:
- Being an SME, in relation to Data Governance, Data Strategy, Data Quality and Data Management including proven working experience in relation to Data Standards, for at least 5 years
- Having detailed understanding of the end-to-end service, product provisions, data processes and data flows from source systems in creation of client list [MGS and DataLake]
- Experience of handling medium to large product related projects/work streams in terms of system implementation, requirement gathering, analyzing the requirements, drafting, and finalizing BRD, working closely with the country teams, is mandatory
- Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to work across organizations to understand the current data issues (E)
- Possess good problem solving and decision-making skills (E)

- Experience in delivering functional trainings will be preferred

What you’ll do:
- This role is responsible & accountable for the successful delivery of the following areas:
- Work collaboratively with Product owner and ensure gathering, translating, and clarifying requirements and defining design options
- Collaborate with country team/ business with the translation of business requirements and designs into more detailed functional requirements
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and deliver solutions using various tools and languages like Oracle, VBA, MS access, MS Visio, etc.
- Drive and manage Implementation including planning, controlling, and reporting on implementation of the change ‘product’, focusing on accelerating benefits and minimizing risk during deployment. Implementation activities will also include managing implementation readiness and managing the early stages of implementation (e.g. pilot)
- Identify, note and understand complex issues and review large amounts of data to identify the appropriate action/ solution
- Take responsibility for identifying, understanding, and communicating product development opportunities and associated business outcomes
- Demonstrated experience in building Terms of References / Business Requirement document as applicable and procure approvals from the relevant Project Managers & Sponsors
- Execute the assigned projects / analysis as per the agreed timelines and ensuring the accuracy and quality
- The individual will also take measures to continuously reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices and the impact of new technology
- Drive and support data quality projects / initiatives and/ or statistical analysis within WDM
- Independently deliver end to end results on various Projects / Initiatives
- Independently ensure eradicating identified problems, analyzing, standardizing, classifying data quality issues using prevalent data quality strategies by applying tools
- Develop / revise / reassess data remediation metrics and procedures for effective project delivery with reduced cost and sustainable quality
- Taking effective decisions and identify and resolve complex queries including stakeholder escalations
Leadership & Teamwork
The advertised role is expected to play a key role in:
- Providing support to the regional/global CIB customers and stakeholders within the remit of the approved CIB Service catalogue; where deviations from the catalogue exist ensure that these are identified and communicated to the Global Management team for review
- Guiding and supporting the management to take strategic decisions
- Enabling team to deliver expected results on set objectives via regular monitoring, guidance, training, coaching etc.
- Initiating, conducting, and managing complex projects within CIB
- Work collaboratively with other teams across CIB within and outside of base location to perform core day-to-day activities as well as identifying, understanding, and communicating issues or challenges which may occur and where possible recommend actions to manage or resolve
- Contribute to team development, effectiveness, and success by sharing knowledge and best practice
- Assertively challenge and manage all stakeholders including Senior Managers in order to take action within a deadline

- 4-6 years of working experience in client reference data domains (E)
- Advanced SQL, Query optimization and PL SQL programming knowledge (E)
- 3 years plus working experience in Agile and Waterfall framework and methodologies (E)

- Knowledge and working experience on ETL processes (E)

Additional Information / Specific Skills (If Any)
- B. Com / B.Sc / BCA / B.Tech or equivalent degree (10+2+3)
- Masters in Finance, MCA, MBA or any additional qualification in finance or banking would be preferred
