  • The Outsourced Operations Team sits with the Group Chief Operating Office (GCOO) under the Business Risk and Resilience (BRR) Function and in the Chief Controls Office (CCO) team. 
  • Being a part of the CCO Function, the Outsourced Operations team provides specialised insights to enable informed risk-based decision making. We oversee third party relationships from supplier management and risk management by also bringing in cost and commercial aspect.
    The Opportunity: 
  • The Outsourced Operations Team oversee all Third Party relationship types across a number of GCOO Functions globally (incl. but not limited to Procurement, Real Estate Services, Protective Security and Business Continuity)  
  • This includes over 1000 suppliers with over $2bn spend per annum, over 3,000 Non-Traditional Third Parties and around 500 Internal Third Parties.  
  • We use MI and reporting to understand where our supply chains are operating well, and where improvements can be made. You will lead projects to make processes better and to strengthen our control models.
  • All our team members are responsible for improving how our Third Parties are managed across GCOO by participating in and leading improvement projects.
  • To help you succeed we support you with training, development and on the job coaching and mentoring.  We also expect our team members to be curious and proactive in developing skills and subject matter expertise.
    What you’ll do: 
    Third Party Risk Management
  • Risk Identification: Identify potential risks associated with third-party relationships
  • Risk Mitigation: Implement strategies to mitigate and manage these identified risks
  • Ongoing Monitoring: Continuously monitor and oversee third-party activities to ensure compliance and adapt to changing risks
    Continuous Improvement 
  • Performance Evaluation: Regularly assess the performance of the supply chain to identify areas for improvement
  • Process Optimisation: Implement changes to streamline operations and enhance efficiency
  • Oversight of all Third Party types across GCOO: Ensure that our Third Parties meet the requirements of our risk policy and framework.  This is
  • inclusive of all third party types (traditional suppliers, Non-Traditional Third Parties and Internal Third Parties). We also look to ensure our 1,000 plus fourth parties have appropriate oversight from our third parties. 
  • Produce MI, reporting and packs on Third Party Risk Management: You will help manage our data and produce MI, reports and dashboards for our key governance forums. You will use this data to identify trends, key themes, and provide insights that help to drive decisions and actions. 
    Monitor Third Party Management activities: You will monitor how well our suppliers are being managed using our MI and reports.  You will work with stakeholders across GCOO and the TPM Hub to ensure that any issues with Third Party Management are addressed, escalating where appropriate. 
  • Incident and Risk Management: Support the investigation of issues, liaise with stakeholders to establish facts, adherence to process etc and ensure that learnings are embedded in our control models.  You will also opine on whether a read across is required and if changes with other suppliers are needed.  
  • Process Improvement: There are many ways we can improve our supplier management framework, and you get a chance to lead some of that work.  You will use your skills to identify gaps in the process, collaborate with the relevant stakeholders, and drive change. 
    Risks and Issues Management, Helios and Third Party Operated Key Controls (TPOKC): You will ensure that risks and issues are correctly raised and managed.  This may include using our risk management tool, Helios, and enhancing our control model either internally or through Third Party Operated Key Controls.
  • Industry trends and best practice: You will keep up to date with the latest approaches in supplier management and bring innovative ideas to the team to keep enhancing our frameworks.
