• This role sits within our NFR Change Team covering a large and complex, global change portfolio.  You will work closely with stakeholders across Markets, Compliance, Operations and IT to support the test activities across the portfolio.
• This role will be based in Bangalore    

The Opportunity:

• As the Test Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software changes by supporting the design, execution, and management of testing processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, develop test plans, and execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Your analytical skills will help identify defects and areas for improvement, while your attention to detail will ensure that all changes meet business and regulatory standards. By leveraging tools like Jira, you will track testing progress, report on outcomes, and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality financial applications in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do:

• Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and changes.
• Analyse and clarify testing requirements based on functional and non-functional specifications.
• Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans that outline scope, approach, resources, and schedule.
• Identify test scenarios based on user stories and requirements in tools like Jira.
• Test Design: Create detailed test cases and scripts for different testing types, including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).  And ensure test cases cover all functional areas and edge cases.
• Test Execution: Execute test cases, document results, and track defects using Jira or similar tools.  And perform SIT to validate integration points and UAT to ensure the system meets user needs.
• Defect Management: Identify, log, and prioritize defects found during testing.
• Collaborate with development teams to facilitate defect resolution and retesting.
• Test Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular status reports on testing progress, test results, and defect status.
• Communicate risks and issues to project stakeholders.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure alignment on testing activities. And participate in daily stand-ups and sprint reviews in agile environments.
• Automation: Identify opportunities for automation in testing processes and collaborate with automation engineers to develop and execute automated test scripts.
• Post-Implementation Support: Assist in monitoring the application post-deployment to ensure stability and performance.  And gather user feedback to identify any additional testing needs.
• Continuous Improvement: Review and improve testing processes and methodologies based on lessons learned and industry best practices.

What you will need to succeed in the role:

• At least 2-5 years of experience in software testing, specifically in financial services or global markets environments.
• Proven experience in various testing types, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and regression testing.
• Proficiency in using test management tools such as Jira for tracking requirements, test cases, and defects.
• Familiarity with other testing tools (e.g., Selenium for automation, LoadRunner for performance testing) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of financial products, trading systems, and market regulations.
• Experience with change projects related to trading platforms, risk management systems, or compliance tools is beneficial.
• Experience working in Agile environments, including participation in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Knowledge of Agile testing practices and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex requirements and identify potential issues.
• Ability to design effective test cases based on business requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, including developers, business analysts, and project managers.
• Experience in preparing and presenting test reports and status updates.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough testing and accurate defect reporting.
